We chose the Inn at Ardgour after reading the reviews. We could not fault it. The staff, views, meals etc everything was excellent. It was lovely to be left 'free' bottled water in your room every day, even in most 5* hotels in London you are charged for water. We will definately be back - thanks for a lovely 3... more

Stayed for one night, wish we had stayed for a few more. Beautiful location and very clean and comfortable rooms overlooking the loch. Staff were very friendly and helpful and meals were excellent. Great selection of whiskies in the bar too. more

We love scotland and decided to visit Ardgour a location we had not been to before. On arrival yes as the visitor from Harris said there was a strong smell from the toilets but very quickly attended to - full marks for that. Blocked drains can happen anywhere! Food was excellent (we recommend the lovely venison casserole) and indeed we... more

We stayed at the inn for 6 nights and were made welcome as soon as we walked in the door. We were treated like one of the family and nothing was too hard. Had a great time with some very special people and the meals were excellent and freshly prepared. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.... more

My family and I stayed at this Hotel on the way to the Highlands last year and enjoyed our stay. We decided to stay again this year but were very disappointed. The service was so poor we left early the following morning and had our breakfast in another Hotel. When we arrived at the reception we introduced ourselves to a... more

Hmmm.... how to respond. I find this review very tricky to deal with. The person who wrote this threatened to write a bad review after my staff refused to serve him and his family any more drink because they felt they had had enough. I am unable to treat his review with any sympathy or to believe it to be...

Stayed one night and planned to have a nice meal to celebrate a friend's success. Picked here because of the location - superb - and good reviews/recommendations on the web. The simple way to describe our experience is to say everything was great except for the service and food - both pretty essential given our intended reason for being there!... more

Thank-you for taking the time to review our Inn. I am sorry your experience was not a pleasant one and that you did not enjoy our food. Your comments have been passed on to our kitchen staff. The "overspill" area you were seated in is only used as a last resort if all other tables are full or if the...

Took my wife for a suprise 30th anniversary, She hasn't stopped purring since ;-) Warmest of welcomes, Good food, Fabulous room with stunning views. Staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable, even down to small pearls placed in the flowers in the room on arrival and a chilled bottle of champange. Now i ask you, Hilton... more

Following the expensive ferry ride to the hotel, it was nice to be met by relaxed but helpful staff on reception. The room we stayed in was extremely clean and the bathroom was huge. The only criticism of the room was that it could do with a bit of updating but this did not detract from the comfortable stay. The... more

We stayed here based on trip advisor reviews and were extremely disappointed...our welcome was reserved, the halls are dingy and smell musty, furniture is all in need of a rehab, terrible collection of wall hangings and pictures. The room was relatively clean but no bedside table & lamp in "child's room", crisp toilet sheets rather than proper toilet roll, towel... more

I am so sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us and that you felt the attitude of the gentleman on reception when you checked out was dismissive. As one of the owners and the general manager, I will be taking steps to ensure this attitude is not repeated. Any complaints we receive we try to deal with in...

Spent one night at the inn on our way north for a holiday. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The room was nice and spotlessly clean with a lovely view out over Loch Linnhe. We had a meal in the evening, it was basic grub but kept us going, the breakfast was very good. I would definitely stay at... more
