We stayed at Ard Daraich last month during our trip to the Highlands and we couldn't have asked for a better B and B. The house and surrounding garden are beautiful and such care has been taken to make it an inviting home for guests (note log fires each evening and fresh bluebells in the bedroom). Anna and Norrie are... More

Just one B&B night stay here but very enjoyable. Unexpected trip on a ferry to get there ..that was fun! Great peaceful location. We were greeted with a cup of tea and a wood burning fire in the sitting room. Quaintly comfortable bedroom with bathroom next to it. (toiletries supplied) We took a walk around the garden which was fabulous... More

We have just returned from our two week honeymoon at Ard Daraich Cottage and couldn't have chosen anywhere better. The cottage is superb - tastefully decorated with beautiful finishing touches of Anna's artwork, an eclectic library and beachcombed items. The owners have thought of everything to make the day-to-day as easy as possible so there is more time to spend... More

Stayed here for a week recently. We were very lucky with the weather and remember he choice of cottage. The location and the cottage are fantastic. It is very clean and well kept, well furnished with good facilities throughout. I would thoroughly recommend it. A couple of points to note as of writing this article there isn't a shower and... Thank you for your kind review. We are sorry if you missed a shower but with a private water supply we are unable to provide reliable high pressure to make this part of our selfcatering. As for broadband, Ardgour is blighted by a slow service and so we are unable to offer better coverage. There is a desk for guests... More

Amazing cottage, gardens, area and owners. Very friendly owners of the cottage who go out of their way to help in any way. Very environmentally friendly place to stay. Dog friendly and so relaxing. Gardens are gorgeous and seeing the birds right outside the window on the feeder was lovely. It's close to the beach where we went every day... More

It's a bit late but we had the most marvelous time at Ard Daraich. We have just opened Norrie's wonderful marmalade which reminded me that we had not 'reviewed' our trip (we also bought his Honey which did last long enough in our household!). The house was simply lovely (wish it were mine!) in an area of outstanding natural beauty... More

Thank you for your kind comments and I am delighted the marmalade still tastes good. Come back soon, we look forward to welcoming you here again in 2015. Anna & Norrie. More

It's been a year since I stayed here and now I'm craving a repeat of my Highlands getaway. Ard Daraich was the best place I could be for some rest from the big city i.e. some me time in a peaceful setting, amongst nature, with beautiful local walks and a log fire. Boxes ticked! The Studio was like a home... More

This B&B is very special! You are invited and welcomed into the hosts home, and treated almost as one of the family... The rooms are very comfortable and warm; furnishings traditional but authentic. The bathrooms are shared, but clean and always appeared to be free! The shower works well, and my daughters loved the bath! Breakfasts were a highlight... everything... More

Every aspect of our two night stay was delightful. The bed was as comfortable as our own, the bath an immense luxury, and the breakfasts the best I've ever had. Norrie and Anna made us feel like family, and you'd have to try very hard to find a lovelier location. I'd happily have stayed for a month, and hope very... More

You could write a sonet about it...but I can't, and I have not words enough to describe the incredible happiness of beeing in a place like this. What to say about the incredible beauty of the sorroundings, that beach (with seals!!! can you imagine?) that garden where you'd be the most happy Rhododendron in the world, and the house...Oh.
