It's been a year since I stayed here and now I'm craving a repeat of my Highlands getaway. Ard Daraich was the best place I could be for some rest from the big city i.e. some me time in a peaceful setting, amongst nature, with beautiful local walks and a log fire. Boxes ticked! The Studio was like a home... More

This B&B is very special! You are invited and welcomed into the hosts home, and treated almost as one of the family... The rooms are very comfortable and warm; furnishings traditional but authentic. The bathrooms are shared, but clean and always appeared to be free! The shower works well, and my daughters loved the bath! Breakfasts were a highlight... everything... More

Every aspect of our two night stay was delightful. The bed was as comfortable as our own, the bath an immense luxury, and the breakfasts the best I've ever had. Norrie and Anna made us feel like family, and you'd have to try very hard to find a lovelier location. I'd happily have stayed for a month, and hope very... More

You could write a sonet about it...but I can't, and I have not words enough to describe the incredible happiness of beeing in a place like this. What to say about the incredible beauty of the sorroundings, that beach (with seals!!! can you imagine?) that garden where you'd be the most happy Rhododendron in the world, and the house...Oh. The... More

A great base from which to visit the Highlands. Stayed here for 1 night. Great, friendly hosts. A warm open fire and an amazing breakfast. A must stay if you're there. If you're travelling from Edinburgh or Glasgow, it's an ideal spot to stop for some R & R.

We stayed in the garden studio and as Norrie commented when we arrived, we picked the perfect week as the Rhododendrons were in full bloom- a riot of colour and so many different species, a gardeners dream. We had fresh eggs from the chickens, fresh salad from the garden, venison and home made jams and chutneys. The studio is tastefully... More

We stayed at the cottage which is part of the Ard Daraich B+B and available for rentals all year round. The cottage has been designed with the artisitic flair of the owner, but also combines top quality fixtures and fittings. It is a wonderfully comfortable and peaceful place for a relaxing getaway, with special features we enjoyed that included; a... More

This truly is a wonderful peaceful location. The house itself is full of charm, history and character. The house is spotless and Norrie and Anna are very sociable and accomodating with lots of interesting stories to tell. Norrie's breakfasts are to die for too! What an amazing spread! We stayed here as a stopping point after being on Mull and needing to head to Glasgow. It was the highlight of the week, and we wish we could have stayed longer than one night.
