We spent two nights here and enjoyed it. The room was quiet and comfortable. We only had breakfast and a light lunch in the bar in the hotel and otherwise ate out. The breakfast buffet was OK but nothing special. The hotel was full of large tourist groups when we were there which put a premium on space in the... More

For most of our 5 weeks in Cuba, we stayed in Casas which were great value and a good insight into Cuban life. We decided to spend a bit more for our last 3 nights and this was a great choice. The rooms are lovely, ok decor a bit dated, but this is Cuba, each room has a private balcony... More

This village is amazing and the hotel lives up to expectations. This is Cuba so things may not happen quite as expected but the room was lovely. Not sure if it is common to all the rooms, but the bathroom does not offer much privacy! However I have paid far more and had far less! There are a lot of... More

In a different country and location I may not have been as generous with my overall rating but this is Cuba and the hotel sits amongst the trees overlooking the picturesque Las Terrazas community. I enjoyed staying there and would go again if I return to Cuba. The rooms were of a good size and clean with an interesting bath/shower... More

A very nice clean hotel in a rural setting. But the management is a bit shambolic and when things go wrong the staff just stand around looking lost. Arriving at 4.00 pm our rooms were not ready until 5.30pm ; in the evening the restaurant took an hour and three quarters to serve an omlette and chips ; the next... More

A 20 year old building set high above the village of Las Terrazas. The style fits into the 45 year old village with its brutalist post revolution buildings - mostly built out of concrete blocks. It sounds dire but it isn't, it works within its setting which are slightly unkempt sub-tropical. Just don't expect European or far eastern service and... More

stopped for 2 nights as part of a Kuoni tour. The hotel has lots of character and enjoyed by all 16 of us. I agree with a previous reviewer, I don't know how it classes as Eco, it must be just the setting. It's an old hotel but was clean, large rooms with balconies looking out into the tree canopy... Hotel is set in a lovely rural location about an hour outside Havana Room very basic but clean and adequate bathroom from which you can watch the birds in the trees ! There are lovely walks and many Cuban birds to see. Food limited, staff friendly

This hotel looks attractive and has lovely grounds. The rooms are large with views into trees. However, our room was on the ground floor, damp, smelt damp and with a very noisy humidifier. It should have been lovely, but the noise and the smell was very off-putting. Apart from this, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom spacious. Eating in the... More

Not sure why this is an eco hotel, apart from it being located in the bio-reserve. Rooms spacious and the bathroom window had great views. Bar and hotel open to elements, so could be cold. It was down to 12 degrees with wind chill when we were there. Restaurant was enclosed. Cuban fare at meals; musicians at dinner - wonderful... More
