We stayed for one night here at the castle , it is absolutely stunning , but there isn't much else to do once you have done the walks outside and it was -7 when we visited which was obviously a negative , it's definitely worth a one night romantic stop . More

I have always wanted to stay in a castle, so when we went to Barcelona and Madrid last April to visit my god daughter we stayed in this Parador. It is truly a castle and the village is amazing. We had dinner in the dining room, it was unusual and very nice. My husband had a port after dinner that... More

Like others I found it a bit disappointing. Beautiful but rather dull and very expensive. Showers and taps are ridiculous; couldn't use taps with wet hands and shower soaked the bathroom. Not a lot to do, bring books and walking boots More

This was the second Parador on our trip and the most disappointing. It's a spectacular building in a wonderful position but we found it sadly lacking in "something". It was also by almost 60% the dearest. Our room was great, a lovely comfortable 4 poster bed, not in the tower (these cost even more) but to the side with small... More

We stayed 3 nights at this parador, as part of a one month tour of Spain by car. Arriving via the N111 and the CU-V-8033 roads we stopped at a mirdor overlooking the two gorges that surround the village of Alarcon. The parador looked magnificent. It was originally a Moorish Castle, enlarged and fortified after the reconquest. The setting is... More

This castle turned B&B provided comfortable accommodation in a spectacularly rugged landscape. We had a rest night there on our way from Madrid to the Costa Blanca. The room was a reasonable size with an airy bathroom with double sinks, shower over bath and toilet in a room off this. The bed was a disappointment as despite our reservation for... More

A beautiful setting for this magnificent parador. I went there at the end of June with a friend en route from Portugal to France. Worth the detour but an expensive night. Certainly worth the detour but not if you are on a tight budget. More

A fresh, cool and modern room in an old castle. Sleeping area a bit small, but due to the layout of the large bathroom, the room feels spacious. Windows are small, it's a caslte. Only 11 rooms. Parking is for free and safe at the square in front of the parador. Many tourists and locals will meet at the square... More

Fantastic castle in the middle of nowhere, excellent for a weekend out. However, and you may call me pecky - but for 288€ a night i think i am entitled - the room that i was given had no windows so that i could not enjoy the outside ... eventhough some others had, which makes little sense as the price...
