In the lovely lakeside sailing town of Grou we found this lovely hotel.Comfortable bedroom but the steep staircase would be difficult for some.Dinner in the Restaurant was pricey but just delicious and we were looked after by a wonderful English speaking waiter.

A small cosy hotel with extraordinary surroundings. Not the most modern rooms, but clean and coimfortable. Great and friendly service and a home at the see/canal feel. Restaurant offers super food and very good and friendly service. Family and home feel form the Hotel team.

We had a lunch in Oostergoo restaurant in a warm beginning of autumn day. The restaurant is the little centre of Grouw in the middle of The Netherlands north country and we had the possibility to eat at the open air looking nearby the little port. The choice of dishes is varied and offers something for all tastes. The dishes... More

Just stayed in Oostergoo for two 'warm' nights. Room 18 was clean but basic. Limited storage space, no safe, no minibar/fridge or airconditioning. The room was an attic room with unfortunately no view as there were only two velux windows that were high up. We did not get a lot of sleep due to the church bells that chimed on... More

Our reservation was based on a Groupon voucher. On 03.04.2013 we have received a notice that our booking had to be cancel leddue to... More

After being let down by another Dutch Hotel we transferred to the Oostergoo. The staff were very friendly and accommadating and the location was very peaceful and relaxing. The room was clean and well decorated and the view from the room was over the small pontoon, complete with boats, to the canal beyond. We ate outside and the food was... More

So far, I have stayed at Hotel Oostergoo twice, with colleagues on a business trip. Most rooms are relatively small and could do with a make-over, but they are comfy and satisfactory. The view is charming, especially during the summer with all the boats, the restaurant is cosy and the food is simply wonderful. The staff is kind and helpful.
