This former hospital (sanatorium) is surrounded by woods and the wider landscape is most attractive too: cycling and hiking opportunities galore. The accommodation is basic and utilitarian but sufficient - and this is reflected in the price :) We had taken the High Tea arrangement, and took the High Tea at 17:00h. This resulted in an ample array of savoury... More

Stayed at this hotel along with approximately 150 other people on a classic car event in mid-May. The room was excellent. The buffet style breakfasts and evening meal were also very good. Unfortunately the last evening "gala dinner" for our group was silver service and made for it being very slow. Would have been better to stick to the buffet... More

Excellent value with our "Deal van de dag" booking. Main hotel building and grounds lovely. Breakfast ample selection, including cook-your-own bacon and eggs, and the dining room is in very attractive glass annex to the main hotel building. Rooms comfortable enough but not "luxe", located in separate buildings than restaurant. We didn't eat there (other than snacks in the bar)... More

We stayed here for 3 nights during a weekend. This hotel is located 1.5 km from the small village Almen, surrounded by fields and wood. Don't go there for a great dinner, during our stay they served only a buffet, which was average. But there are a lot of nice restaurants in the nearby villages. Breakfast was good. There are... More

This hotel is very expensive for what it is. The rooms are extremely basic (no atmosphere at all). The rooms are clean and the staff was friendly, but 114 euro p/night is really too much for this hotel. You are better off staying somewhere else.

Stayed here for 2 nights with parents and my wife and baby daughter. Location is beautiful (Achterhoek area in Netherlands), and very suitable for nice bicycle rides (though beware some cycle routes include roads accessible to automobiles as well!). Main hotel building is nice, and accommodations (in 2 separate buildings) are in line with 3-star hotel standards: decent, clean, no... More
