Friendly staff in a good hotel in a delightful small town. Only hotel in town well used by visitors and locals alike. This always creates a good atmosphere. The first night we ate in the hotel's restaurant. They had a varied menu with huge portions. We had starters and could not finish our main course as a result. Everything was... More

I was on a business trip and brought my wife for three nights. ARRIVAL: We arrived to find the front door closed but a sign was posted: Enter through the restaurant. Probably because it was low season (March). The reception girl was nice and spoke good English. THE ROOM: The room, 203, was really clean and nice. View over a... More

This independent hotel is located in the adorable village of Harmelen, which is conveniently located in the "Green Heart" of the Netherlands, a rural area in the middle of the ring formed by the cities of Amsterdam, Utrecht, Gouda, Delft, Leiden, The Hague and Rotterdam. All of these cities can be reached from Harmelen within an hour, but none of... More

Just got back from a business trip to Netherlands. My colleague and I were accomodated in "Het Wapen van Harmelen" hotel, some 30 km away from Amsterdam in the small village Harmelen. The hotel has the best mattresses ever! We slept really good in here. I think the small hotel is a family business of some nice people. After booking... More

My wife and I stayed in this quant hotel situated in the idyllic rural village of Harmelen. The rooms are adequate, clean, with either view to the Main street or view to the vast meadows, being so typical for Holland. I find the hotel provides excellent service in its category and nothing is too much to ask, very pleasant staf... More

The people were very friendly. The food in the evening was abundant and of good quality, although rather expensive. You have to be lucky to find a parking spot in the neighborhood. The rooms are a little bit outdated, but very clean. The sound insulation is not that good. Some noise enters the room. In room 1 the WC is... More
