One of the worst (expensive experiences) of my life. I would rather stay awake in a bus shelter all night than stay here again. One woman while I was there was frightened to go back into the too she had been allocated as there was evidence of rat faeces on the pillow. I true end down two rooms as they... More

The rooms are very spacious and clean. Very friendly and welcoming reception staff. The hotel itself is large and quite spread out. There are numerous 'barns' serving particular functions. The restaurant has a fantastic carvery with high quality food.

After trying to book a table for four ,and two rooms for New Year's Eve. After calling over a period of 4 days finally got hold of the manager, he did let us have two rooms complimentary . Rooms were ok, customer service front of house was awful, no welcome , just a " bloody hell" from the "receptionist" when... More

After hearing about the dreadful service diners had received on Christmas Day, our party of six, having booked some six months ago and paid in full, went to their New Year's Eve celebration with some trepidation. I am delighted to have to report that our fears were unnecessary, we had a great evening. The food was served hot and at... More

We paid £60pp for starter, main, dessert, cheese & crackers, tea/coffee and a mince pie. We didn't wait around for this long as we had already waited 4 hours to get to dessert. The table next to us only got there mains after 4 hours of sitting down! *We waited about a hour for each next course. *Tables had left... More

I booked late by phone and paid in advance . I arrived after 10pm for a one night stay. I had no room service or breakfast. When my credit card statement arrived, I'd been charged £115 on one day and a day after I checked out, another £165. I spoke to reception on three occasions to be told someone would... More

Stayed here for one night November 2015. Booked two upgraded rooms for a birthday meal at the adjoining restaurant at a cost of £115 each. Full English breakfast was extra. Rooms spacious & clean and tidy but dated decor and furniture. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was a problem. As there were friends staying as well, we wanted a table... More

This was eaten in a lovely little room overlooking an inner courtyard. Very happy with what was offered although bread or rolls would have been good, but there was pastries,cheese,ham,cereals,yoghurt,fruit,... More
