We were invited to an evening with a large group in the restaurant/dining hall and of course the most important consideration is the food and the service. There were about three groups in the same room, all having their own organised evening. The first surprise was that there was a choice of menu - not a fixed menu. We wondered... More

I stayed here on business last week as it was one of only a few hotels that fitted within the budget. It is located in a quiet area away from the main roads with ample parking. It didn't feel very comfortable though and was pretty tired in terms of decor in both the public hotel facilities and the room itself.... More

I'm working in the area and have been trying to find where best to stay. I stayed a Wednesday night, and have to say both evening and breakfast were very quiet times for the hotel. So yes its in a very peaceful location but you soon hit traffic if you're driving east in the morning. I have been trying to... More

Located in a quiet area this charming hotel has regular rooms, clean and confortable. The staff is very friendly and as helpful as possible. There is a restaurant, a bar and a cute garden patio (certainly much appreciated in summer !). Away from any noise source, you get to be only waken by birds singing... A car is necessary as... More

Adjacent to hotel is separately owned... More

The hotel has a lot of potential, it was clean and tidy but needs redecorating and modernizing as it just looked old and tired. The staff was very freindly when we arrived but when we left it was a different member of staff at the desk and was a bit rude, didn't even ask how our stay was, Would go... More

This hotel harks back to the brick and dark wood of the 80s, however it is comfortable and the food is well cooked well priced if a little basic. Don't expect cordon blu but the roast beef dinner is the best I've had in a good time.

I've given a rating of 3, 3.5 would be more accurate - not a 4, and here's why... First off - the hotel staff were lovely, and the receptionists all courteous and friendly. The room (102) was described as king size, and was spacious. It was clean (save for dust around the carpet by skirting board edges) and the bed... More

Staff were friendly and helpful. Let us book in early so we could changed for a wedding we were attending. Breakfast finishes at 9am during the week which nearly caught us out but they still served us with a smile at 9am. Seems an early finish for leisure travellers but I guess this is what happens at this price. Room... More
