Beautiful setting for an impressive and historic building. Very large a well appointed rooms. Large bathroom with excellent toiletries. Lovely breakfast served by friendly staff. Bistro was dog friendly and the food was really nice. Although it was busy the service was great. All in all, very difficult to fault.

I had arranged a party of 20 to arrive for dinner to celebrate my mothers birthday. Charlotte the restaurant manager was excellent in making the meal extra special with a personalised menu and drinks on arrival. When we did arrive 4 of our party were lost due to a road closure but this proved no problem with meals being kept... More

There's something very special about the Inn at Whitewell. Stunning views surround the Inn. You've got your rolling green hills, wildlife and endless places to go for a quiet walk. But the best thing about the Inn is the relaxed, no nonsense style. It's not a hotel. It's an Inn. They take pride in that laid back (not too laid... More

We came here for a friend's wedding, although didn't stay. The inn was very cosy and a nice mixture of upmarket and informal, and their marquee was decorated in a lovely way. The food was the best we've ever eaten at a wedding; the lamb was beautifully tender and the creme brulee was the best I've tasted. We would like... More

During our recent stay in the Forest Bowland we had three meals at the Inn At Whitewell: Sunday lunch, dinner in the restaurant and a further dinner in the less formal pub area. All meals were wonderful and the staff attentive with a happy disposition. The view from the restaurant and terrace was stunning. Just a short walk along the... More

we recently went to a wedding at the Inn at Whitewell and stayed overnight in one of their rooms. I was really impressed right from the beginning. We travelled with a 1 year old and they let us put the pram in the hall (where it stayed until we needed it the next day) as it's all stairs. The public... More

Fantastic from start to finish. Lots of walking cards available from the door. The room was enormous with own terrace, comfortable furnishings and spotless bathroom. We ate in the bar, everything was high quality and delicious and served by knowledgeable and friendly staff. Can't wait to return.

Thank you for your very kind words, glad you enjoyed exploring here. We do have some amazing walking it's just surprising that no one really knows about them. But that's rather good too as you don't want to see too many others when you are yomping. Regards Cb More

Love going here. It's great for food, but it's more than just the food, it's a beautiful wholesome place. It's informality hides it's charming English grace. It's a place that is comfortable for an hour or five. It's a great pit stop on a bike ride, or a romantic dinner for two.

If you value peace and quiet with a good nights sleep do not stay here if there is a party or wedding reception going on. Although the party is held in a marquee at one end the music can be heard in the bedrooms even with windows closed. I have stayed here a number of times and would normally recommend... More

Our policy is very much to warn anyone if we have a party with music or a band booked, I hope very much this was the case with yourself. Regards Cb More

We spent a delightful night at this very rural inn. It is old fashioned in feel but not in spirit. Dinner was first class and the wine list extensive and reasonable, Service, very polite and efficient. There are a number of capacious seating and drinking areas. It is welcoming and well to do without being overwhelming. The Inn is perched... More

Thank you for your kind review, we are lucky to have such stunning countryside but the perception of Lancashire is quite different, that title sequence in Coronation Street has to be blamed! Thank you again. Regards Cb More
