I have stayed here a number of times with my boyfriend over the years and we love it here! We have stayed in various rooms including front of house and the most expensive room and each room is stunning, even the smaller ones as they are filled with so much character. The views from the back of the hotel overlooking... More

We bid for a stay at The Inn at Whitewell at my Brothers Charity Ball as having been for many a wonderful meal there we decided to try out the rooms. Well we were not at all disappointed! The room (Room 20) was absolutely amazing. The décor was very well chosen with old and new merged together perfectly. The four... More

I have visited the Inn several times over the past thirty years and had wonderful and happy family memories of it. This time, it had not only changed in positive terms - the fantastic addition of the terrace for example, the gorgeous dining room - but sadly in negative terms as well. For example, there was a very luke warm... More

We came on the off chance and decided to stay for lunch.. But as we came in amongst the fair coat cladded snobs and overdressed some bodies we unfortunately were shoved next to the bar and ignored for about half an hour .. No one came to take our Order so we decided to go tell the man at the... More

Beautiful setting and building we were recommended to eat here. So excited at having lunch here ended in such a disappointment. We ordered the beef salad and spiced ham salad. How could a chef make a salad uninteresting and tasteless? Not worth the cost. Thanks to the lovely receptionist who offered us complimentary Coffee and shortbread as compensation. If they... More

Stayed at this gorgeous hotel recently and it was absolutely beautiful. Room 5 had gorgeous views of the river and fields. Old fashioned bathroom with Molton Brown bubble bath....perfect after a day's walking. This hotel is not cheap but a lovely treat. This is my second stay in the hotel, room 20 last time was equally as nice. Will hopefully... More

We have been going to the Inn at Whitewell for many years and love it. They lost their way a bit a few years ago but our visit for our anniversary on 9th July was great. We were in room 15 which is a new one for us as we usually try to get 17 or 18. 15 is superb... More

Thank you for your review. Absolutely no idea why the sectors on the wifi are so picky but will look in to it, you don't really mean that about hot water do you? Thank you again. Regards Cb More

After a lifetime of travel I've become jaded by mediocre experiences, and have waited to be jolted by something special. This is it! Few hotels feel like they really belong where they are located, but the Inn at Whitewell draws you into the Lancashire countryside and life the moment you arrive. The hotel overlooks the pastures and hills of the... More

The view from the beer garden will have you speechless if it's your first visit. Food is always very good and service and portions are spot on. Surroundings are very nice just what you want from a traditional pub in the country. Try the scones if you have room. I always get 3 courses for such a long drive out... More

Many thanks for your kind review, I like the idea that the numbers of courses eaten is the number earned by the distance of travel, a bit like those old maths questions. Thank you again. Regards Cb More
