What a gorgeous place. Had a lovely lunch here. Sat outside overlooking the river. Warm and friendly service, good selection of dishes on the menu. Food was just as described and was delicious. Will be back for lunch and dinner in the restaurant is already booked!

This is our 5th stay at The Inn at Whitewell and after five glorious stays we decided we MUST leave a review this time. We returned this weekend to celebrate our 1st Wedding Anniversary (we also had an amazing/faultless wedding here last year thanks to Emma and staff). As with our previous stays were welcomed by friendly yet professional staff... More

Had a family (including dog) overnight here, first time I have been for years. It is so special in so many ways, the location, the building with each public room fascinating, very helpful and friendly staff....and the meals are of a very high standard. If you want a real treat stay overnight, the bedrooms are all generous in size and... More

Just back from break at room 15. Really spacious and well appointed. Sneaked a look at 16 and 17 which are even larger. No tea making facilities in the room by design. Just dial 219 for a free tray of tea or coffee. Ours arrived within 2 minutes on each occasion. Ample parking - generous portions - delightful staff. Why... More

Enjoyed a one night stay and dinner with our two huge dogs. Hotel could not have been more accommodating - huge four poster bed beautiful bathrooms could have spent the whole week there! Ate in the bar where the dogs are allowed - high end Gastro Pub fare - leaving no room for pudding! There were other dogs in the... More

15 years ago a friend recommended the Inn & last weekend I finally made the effort to visit,[I now have a car with satnav & you will need it] Had a room on the back overlooking the river as suggested by previous reviewers & it was well worth the extra. Those who have visited before will tell you all you... More

The Inn is very much out of the way, but a pleasant and secluded spot. We stopped for coffee, but had one of the puddings, which was excellent. It is very welcome that dogs are allowed, as there are so many places where this is not possible. This is an old-fashioned but very comfortable building, with various rooms in which... More

Stayed for 2 nights (27th & 28th August) my wife took me and my English Springer Spaniel Tim as a surprise treat for my 65th Birthday. Our room (23) in the coach house was ideal for the dog it had a small enclosed yard a gate led to open grass land which time really enjoyed. The room was comfortably furnished... More
