We stayed here the night after our wedding ..a last minute booking as we weren't going on honeymoon for a few weeks and didn't want our special weekend to be over. It was a great choice as it's a lovely country location ...that weekend it was snow covered everywhere. The bar is nice and relaxed and upon arrival we had... More

A group of us stayed two nights for our annual walking trip. Great location and good walking but can be boggy and the steps are unusable after heavy rain. We especially liked the view and the peat fire in our room but the rooms are significantly overpriced and the food in the restaurant only average; the bar food is better... More

So sorry you think so but using quality London fabrics, decent pictures and antiques should make for lovely rooms. Regards Cb More

I have previously eaten at the Inn at Whitewell & always have a wonderful evening. We decided to spend a few days here between Christmas & New Year as the drive is about 40mins from my parents. We arrived early enough for lunch and enjoyed a few drinks in the bar before checking in & heading up to the rooms.... More

We used to love coming here, and returned after an absence of 5 years for a special treat, with some in our party travelling a long way. Really surprised at how its changed. It used to feel so special and a real home from home in a wonderful part of the world. That however has long gone if our experience... More

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your Sunday lunch with us, this is actually my favourite time of the week, I love the mix of kids, dogs, wellies and suits. If your going to be negative it's best to do so politely, especially if you going to be incorrect factually. We altered the bar 10 years ago. Breakfast has been at... More

Gorgeous location in stunningly beautiful countryside. This is a wonderful hotel but I would travel from afar just for the food! Amazing. The rooms are excellent and even catered for our dog. Four poster bed and fab bathroom. ( for us not the dog!) Worth every penny. I can't wait to back.

We stayed one night en route to visit my parents in Garstang nearby. I didn't want to arrive late and disturb my Father , who is very poorly. The room was superb, we loved the ball and claw bath with the massive shower head and the four poster bed. The staff were approachable, helpful and friendly. Dinner was superb, as... More

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Inn at Whitewell, staying in the Piggeries. There's many acres to go for a long walk and enjoy the nature in the countryside. It's a beautiful place and the hotel is lovely, the restaurant has a dogs area for people bringing their pet and a relaxing hotel room with a soothing atmosphere.

Stayed one night in room 5. Never stayed anywhere quite like it. It's like stepping back in time. I liked the casualness of the bar, I hate dressing for dinner and the whole place is so quirky no one would care if you are wearing pyjamas. English country inn heaven.

We booked a last minute one night break at the Inn at Whitewell where the only room available was No. 2. It is quite small with a wet room, but perfectly adequate for a one night stay, with comfy bed and lovely Molton Brown toiletries. In fact, we loved the room and, as I'm sure we'll visit again, would probably... More

We booked this to break up the journey from Skye to Surrey, oh, and because it was on The Trip, we are big fans! Arrived late afternoon New Years Day and there was a lovely buzz about the place. Decided to have a 'quick drink' at the bar before freshening up for dinner after our seven hour drive. Fatal. Got... More
