Rooms are beautifully clean on arrival. Prices are kept down by not having daily servicing in the rooms but you don't miss it. En suites available. Delicious local restaurants fairly priced. Wonderful traditional noodles and beers.Lovely walks from village. More

The title says it all - a very friendly place, in a beautiful valley - great in the summer when we were there - but I can imagine it is spectacular in the winter. Without doubt the best B and B we have stayed at. Set in a wonderland of the southern Black Forest and with its own trout river to the rear it would be hard to find anything better for a romantic break. Very quiet area but beautiful. Wonderful cotton sheets and comfortable beds. Very friendly and helpful and they had lots of ideas of things to do in the area. Too much to see in a short period of time. Overall very good just a little quiet for us. More

We walked throughout the black forest and Menscheswald, where Grunenberg is located is to my mind less commercial and more quaint than titisee. We really enjoyed the walks, the place, the host, the breakfast and the local restaurants. Highly recommended. More
