Wonderful place to stay. In the former guests quarters. High ceilings, AC and yes the Wifi works without problem. Breakfast was a standard fare buffet, but more than adequate. Definitely take the tour of the monastery when you are here, which at €5 is good value. BIG TIP they have some family rooms but they are not sold via Booking.com.... More

This magnificent historical building has been adapted to provide characterful and comfortable accommodation. The setting is wonderful, it is peaceful and serene, and the adaptation loses nothing in terms of a sense of history. The courtyard and open corridors are superb, and it is all done efficiently but with a minimum of fuss. We had an impressive and good value... More

Adjoining the Real Monasterio itself, in days gone by it would have hosted the cloister's guests as well as its monks. Wonderfully tall ceilings ensure cool days in the height of summer... and that's just talking about the corridors: the spacious guest rooms are augmented by air conditioning. The staff are unobtrusive but always available to assist. Everything is spotless... More

We had wonderful accommodation here. An enormous room with two king size single beds and a sofa. We overlooked the countryside from both the bedroom and the bathroom. The sounds of chickens and other birds made for a change from traffic noise. Plenty of hot water and a bath. Large bath towels are supplied. Wi-fi is available in the cafe... More

we drove around and around looking for this Monasterio. Signage was terrible with arrows pointing everywhere BUT the place :) we finally parked and walked and found it with the help of locals. the desk staff was under welcoming, did not seem happy to welcome us. free parking was nice, but imagine in the summer it fills up very quickly.... This converted monastery is a fantastic hotel with an amazing location being connected to the cathedral where the Virgin of Guadalupe is seen above the altar. The room we had was large with a nice bathroom. Most of the rooms open up onto a huge outdoor courtyard. We were on the 3rd floor and the door to the room looked... More

This place is magic, from the reception area and flowered courtyard through to the wonderful cloisters in which to dine (apart from the incredibly surly, sour waitress - hence the lower score for service). You really feel as though you are living in the Monastery. Rooms are not luxurious, but a decent size (mine had an extra small room with... More

The building is fantastic and so is the experience of staying in the Monastery. A beautiful entrance and ample free off street parking. The bedroom was huge and furnished in the simple Spanish style that you would expect to find in a monastery. The food and wine was very good and very reasonably priced. A great place to stay with... This hotel forming part of the monastery was a real find in this quiet corner of Spain. The building was full of the character one one expect from its title. It was an honour to stay here and be immersed in the history. This is not the most luxurious of hotels, and the village outside is small and rather touristy,... More

Staying in the Hospederia for the Monastery of Guadalupe was an experience we will not forget. The beautiful little town in this mountainous part of Spain, provides an appropriate setting for the important pilgrimage site of the Monastery of Guadalupe. The Hospederia proved to be very pleasant, our room having a lovely view out over the town and the hills... More
