The historial building is just charming with an indoor patio with orange and lemon trees. The room are small and the furniture and rugs have seen better days. The bar/cafe at this parador had nice tapas and wines. The restaurant had medriocre food and a hefty price tag. The reception staff were unattentive and they seemed more like government workers... We were greated on arrival by very friendly reception staff we booked in and were offered an upgrade to a room with a balcony overlooking the Parador and the Monastery the room was fab as wasthe view. Although we did not eat in the evening at the Parador because we were meeting friends we enjoyed a drink and tapas in... More

This parador is situated in the old city center with the monastery in an adjacent building. It has nice patios to visit or to rest in. It's nice, however with a little bit too dark rooms. The restaurant was and own "Chapter". We entered the restaurant as the very first guests for dinner. Successively other guests came. Now it happened:... More

This parador is in the monumental center just uphill from the Guadalupe Basilica and the Royal Monastery. There is a swimming pool in the gardens and a lovely patio with orange trees where one can sit and have a drink. The dining room has both indoor and outdoor dining. Our room with a terrace looked on to the gardens ,... More

It was the first time that we had visited Guadalupe and I really liked the town and the parador which is located within easy walking distance to the many restaurants, shops and also the monastery. The parador room was very clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the town and surrounding mountains from the balcony. The swimming pool was... More

We stayed here one night and the parador experience itself was good, although the staff seemed a little detached. The pool was nice. I was annoyed that we had to pay extra to park the motorbike! I would not go back though as the town itself has been totally ruined with tacky poor taste souvenir shops and you can't walk... More

we stayed here for 6 nights, the parador is in an old hospital of the 15th century and has a comfortable courtyard where you can relax and have a drink. The luxury room was ok and spacious. The restaurant is ok, ask for a table outside and enjoy the food. The pool was unfortunately closed in May. A big advantage... More

Staying in Guadalupe for three nights proved to be one to many. This is a very fine parador, room's are well appointed, very clean and the views from our balcony overlooking the monastery, second to none. What spoiled our stay was the lack of staff to cater for the number of guests. On arrival we waited about 10 - 15... More

The Parador De Guadalupe set the bar extremely high for the rest of Spain. We flew into Madrid, picked up a rental car and drove to Guadalupe. The town itself says " This Is Spain " as you enter the village and the Parador and the good people that operate it say" This is how Spaniards will treat you",completely welcoming, gracious, luxurious but... Guadalupe is just extraordinary. Certainly a bit remote, but one of the most beautiful places in Spain overall. And the Parador is certainly worth a visit in its own right. Set in a XVI century palace, the property has been transformed into a marvelous hotel. Rooms are generally quiet and pleasant, though falling short of utterly luxurious. But what they... More
