We stayed a few nights in one of the huts and enjoyed it. Spent time in the common area and had a lot of food, drinks etc. We met a couple that we travelled with for a while, which is a major benefit of the Nuts Huts experience - a somewhat remote location with like minded 'adventurous' guests and a... We stayed in Nuts Huts for 4 nights in December 2014. We were prepared for the dirty road and stairs and enjoyed the views and nature. We had the vipa hut, which was down at the river side, next to the other huts. The garden was very pretty, well maintained and with goats walking around. The hut was large enough... More

The walk from the road to the stairs is a rocky walk approx. 1 km down a windy downhill rocky and muddy road, once you reach the end you then come to a large inclined staircase 230 stairs half way is the reception and restaurant with the most amazing view, you forget about the effort it took to get there.... We went to Nuts Huts due to Lonely Planet and Trip Advisor recommendations. However, we werent at all prepared for the place in the slightest. We arrived at night time, the tricycle driver refused to take us down the path to drop us by the entrance. We used an iPhone torch light and were carrying all our backpacks whilst wearing... More

Dear Travelers, I would like to address the issues brought up in the above review in a way that all travelers can benefit from easier access to Nuts Huts, or at least be better prepared for it by having practical information before actual arrival, especially at night. There are two ways to access Nuts Huts, by day or night. One... More

We spent 3 nights at Nuts Huts and it was absolutely amazing! Great food (lots of veggies!), I especially recommend the Muesli with fresh yoghurt. It is a bit of a trek to get here (800 metre walk after taking a tricycle/bus from Tagbiliran port) but is SO worth it. Keep in mind that you need to be in decent... More

Food is fresh and delicious. Staff is really nice, they served the sauna although it was asked by only one guest. It was fun when the restaurant was full of smoke as they burned the wood preparing for the sauna (smelled good thou). Guests were nice too, noone complained about it, seemed like everyone enjoying the smoke as part of... More

Amazing place to stay. Good value dorms (3-6 people) and private double rooms. 800m walk down track from road.....followed by lots of steps down. The main building for meals is half way down and the huts on river bank. Relaxed and sociable, in jungle setting.

It was my first stay in PH trip so the jungle surroundings and the wild river were astonishing. Food and shakes are perfect. Be aware of some real off-road track to the huts if you rent a motorbike, especially after rain. Also be prepared for those killing steep steps from your accomodation to the rest of the world - try... More

Stayed in Nuts Huts only for a night but it was the best! I really love the chill ambiance of the place. Quiet and serene. Walter, the owner and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Food was incredibly good and healthy. Also enjoyed kayaking around the Loboc river while I was there. I highly recommend this... More

I had an amazing time at Nuts Huts for the following reasons, the location is incredibly unique, right on the river hidden in the trees. The journey by road is an experience in itself - a bumpy and rough ride across off road terrain through small hamlets. The views from the nut huts restaurant are superb and are worth spending...
