My partner and I had a lovely two night stay at the Vobster Inn at the end of November. We stayed in room 1 which was a very spacious room with king size bed and lounge area. We were really impressed by the spacious room which was very clean, comfortable and came with all the necessary amenities, including a jar... More

Last Saturday we arrived at the Vobster Inn at approx 6pm having pre-booked via booking.com. The inn was in total darkness with no security lights on. We attempted to make our way to the front door which we had to access down several slippery unlit steps. We decided to telephone the hotel to try to get in but the phone... More

I seldom post responses to negative guest comments as I feel you can come over as over sensitive, but now and again you read something that gives you an itch you just have to scratch. Firstly we were disappointed to discover these guests felt the need to drive home as they could not gain access to their room. Ultimately we... More

Our midweek break at the Vobster was a delight. There really was nothing to fault, from the spacious and spotless accommodation: the comfortable bed; the individually-cooked English Breakfast [it's no chore to decide the evening before what you'd like!]; the helpful, hardworking and efficient Peta and Rafe; and the superb evening cuisine [the 'locals' dine here too - a sure... We came by to Vobster Inn after we got lost to find our property nearby. Peta have been extremely helpful and caring because our hearing disability. While we have our cup of tea and coffee, she phoned the estate agent to come and meet us, so that we can be able to find our property at last. To be honest... More

We stayed at the Vobster Inn for a weekend break. Everything about this experience was first class. The staff and Peta were really welcoming, Peta's knowledge of local places to visit was great and she assisted us on deciding on locations to spend our day. We had breakfast each morning and dined at Vobsters each evening. The food was fresh... More

The service here was excellent - really friendly and efficient. We were very impressed with the hostess. The breakfast was good. The only issues we had were to do with noise, which did really affect our sleep. There is a cockerel that crows daily at about 4am onwards, the walls were very thin and we could hear sneezes, talking, showers... More

Just returned from 3 nights at the Vobster Inn and have to say what a pleasant experience. Peta and her husband were very welcoming and although the inn was closed when we arrived Peta had made arrangements for the key. The room was at the back in a very nice gardens area which was kept lovely. All the amenities were... More

I stayed at this sweet place during the Glastonbury Festival. The service and room were excellent. Great wine and food. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A welcome retreat from a muddy festival and only a taxi ride away!

This pretty pub is tucked away in the lush and leafiest part of Somerset and wow did we enjoy our lunch today. Starters:roll mops, home-cured, fresh, zingy and with pretty salad. I had the potted ham hock, tender, buttery not over-salted, delicious. Then for main course two of us had the stuffed old spot pork belly , just right for... More

We came here as a surprise visit from my father for my 21st birthday. After a long day of travelling, we arrived at the vobster inn. We were welcomed with a warm greeting from the landlady, our room key and breakfast cards to fill out. The cards we had to fill out gave us the option of what we wanted... More
