Hotel Sassella is family owned and operated. The property is beautifully maintained and it is situated in the middle of town, excellent location. We received an extremely warm welcome and great amounts of assistance in our endeavours during our stay. The room was very comfortable, very clean. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. We dined in the hotel restaurant each evening... More

Being a business traveller I have stayed many times in this hotel during the past 10 years. The majority of the rooms still have the typical alp "charm" with a lot of wood and dark colors. This place is not a boutique hotel and the doors/walls are rather thin so you can hear some noise if there should happen to... More

Staying here for the 6th time in as many years. This family owned and managed hotel is great ! It offers all you need and more. Both for business as for leisure, this will not disappoint you. The restaurant prepares very high quality dishes, giving you good advice. Each month a special theme around which special menus are made. You... More

Stayed there while doing the Transalp. Very comfortable and great service for bikers. I had to visit the dentist while I was there - the staff accompanied me and did all the translating (and it can't be fun watching someone having a tooth drilled). Very helpful and above and beyond the call of duty!

I've stayed at Hotel Sassella once and ate there twice - all these experiences have been great! The rooms are spacious and clean, the spa is very appreciated after a long day walking around and the restaurant offers great food and a very, very welcoming service. The wine list is also populated both with local proposals (a variety of the... More

The hotel was very comfortable, if a bit sparse. The beds were comfortable. Although it is in the middle of Grosio, it can be a bit challenging to find as navigation systems don't recognize Grosio. The staff was very friendly and helpful. All in all a good choice in the valley.

Our family of 4 has not decided where we would stay on this night and just thought we would check the fanciest looking hotel in town. They made up a room for the four of us and were anxious to be helpful. The extra room beds were pull-out chairs which were ok for the kids, but not great - get... More

Perhaps a bit of a comedown for us having spent the three previous nights in a 4* hotel in Bormio. It felt like a dated 1970's family run hotel. We received a warm welcome from the woman on reception but were disappointed with the "junior suite". Two basic single beds pushed together when a double bed was what we'd expected... More

I stayed at the Hotel Sassella recently on a week-long business trip. The rooms aren't fancy, but they are comfortable and roomy -- and you are treated like you're staying in a 5 star hotel. The hotel is set in the middle of a Northern Italian town that dates back to the 12th century. The bell tower of the "new"... More
