I have used this excellent hotel several times for business trips and it is ideal. I would not hesitate to use it for a holiday or short break. The rooms are simple, spacious and spotlessly clean. Stefania and her team are friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. Overall the hotel offers exceptional value for money and would make... More

Five of us stayed at La Miniera for 3 nights in April of 2010. The owner, Stefania, is lovely. The food at her restaurant in the building was very good. Breakfast was included in the rate and was very good...wonderful bread, cheese, ham, a cappucino, etc. It is an easy walk into town. The nearby cemetery is very interesting. The... More

The hotel is conveniently located for Pisa, Florence, San Gimignano, Sienna and Lajatico...set in the rolling Tuscan countryside in the buildings of an old copper mine that is now a mining museum. The hotel and facilities are spotless and the staff could not be more friendly and efficient. The restaurant serves fantastic Tuscan cuisine inside or outside the hotel. The... More

Booked this having seen good reviews on trip advisor. Rooms were comfortable and clean in quiet location 10 minutes walk from the main village. Food was excellent and good value , handy as even in July there was nothing open in the village. Another restaurant next door but didn't try as preferred to sit out under the trees. Only downside... The accommodation is in the old mine admin building and we enjoyed a visit to the mine which has recently been opened to visitors. The... More

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like Royalty. The owner, she is so lovely and kind. Her cooking is FANTASTIC, the local wines she offered were superb. Very clean, neat and tidy rooms, a quiet location and lovely view. Perfect spot for day trips within the region. Would highly recommend this residence/hotel for anyone looking for a true... More

Spent 4 days motoring in surrounding Tuscan country side. Well located to visit Volterra, Pisa, Siena, Lucca and Florence. Attractive and cosy ambiance with large clean rooms. The trattoria, downstairs serves superlative Tuscan cuisine. Excellent value.
