Located right next to the autoroute as it approaches Grenoble, this hotel is very easy to get to and is great if your visiting the area and don't want to hack your way through the city's traffic. The hotel is in bit of a time warp - a very sixties design and decor that's somewhat behind the times. Having said... More

The hotel was overcrowded as flights were cancelled due to snow in the Alps. Despite a false booking made by phone that the staff were struggling to accommodate, they did not turn us away. The restuarant stayed open till past 11 pm to feed guests, and our soups were superb! Despite the crowds, staff remained polite and attentive, many kudos... More

Travelling to the south we have previously stayed in the Novotel in Grenoble but this hotel is more ideally situated next to the motorway and toll booths. We had a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the hill and it was very quiet. There is secure parking and the staff were very pleasant. We had dinner in the... More

We stopped overnight in Grenoble on our way driving from La Grande Motte to Chamonix. The Novotel is situated outside Grenoble in a rural area with little in the way of shops or restaurants nearby. We booked a superior room for 2 adults and two small children. They basically squeezed two single beds into a double room. There was barely... More

Was motorcycle touring in France, heading for Route Napoleon, (which starts just south of Grenoble) and had a slight problem with the motorcycle. Intended to stop one night but all motorcycle dealers seemed to be closed on Mondays, so ended up staying two nights. I don't speak more than 'schoolboy French' so when I found out I had a flat... We stayed for one night on our way back to Calais, which was ok but would not use as a way to see Grenoble as it is a long way out of the centre. The rooms like other Novotels are clean and sufficient, as are the facilities-small outdoor pool, table tennis, gym, playroom etc. We ate at the hotel restaurant which... More

Stopped here for 1 night on way to Italy. Like most Novotels this caters well for children with a kids menu at 9 euros each for main, dessert and drink which was good value, however the adults meals were nothing to write home about. Outdoor unheated pool was great for kids too with a net in the gardens for volleyball... More
