The hotel is situated little bit far from Lyon. The first approach is quite positive, very clean and kind staff. The restaurant offer a good menu and the breakfast is nice but improvable. To highlight that they do not have the lift.

This hotel has an excellent restaurant. Rooms are very cramped with no shelving or dressers for clothes. You have to live out of your suitcase for anything other than hanging clothes. There is a closet for that with a few hangers. The bathroom has a plug in for razors, but for women there is no outlet for curling irons which... More

This Mercure is a little old fashioned but very reasonable and very near Lyon center. We had a car but there are busses also going the same route. We did not dine at the hotel because there is so much to offer in the vicinity as well as the biggest Carrefour we have ever seen. It is an experience for... More

We booked this hotel on Hotels.com and it was misrepresented. It was a prepaid hotel and we were willing to walk away from our money as no refund was available. We were given a room on the second floor and there is NO elevator! No assistance with bags, nothing! The room was small, the hotel smelled funny when we walked... More

Stayed 2 nights at the Mercure Lyon Charbonnieres this past Feburary. The hotel feels old and a bit run down. It supposedly caters to business travelers yet you cannot get laundry done in one day (drop by 9am to get back by 5pm the NEXT day). It is not located near anything - you cannot walk anywhere. On Sunday the... More

I should start this review saying that I have been in this hotel end of July and really enjoyed it. However, this time I have been there with my whole family (including two little children) and it was a nightmare. The room was far too small to start with. The service at dinner was the most arrogant I have ever... More

Dear Sir, My team and I took in consideration every comments you note about your stay on the website Tripadvisor. We are deeply sorry that this second stay didn't meet your expectations. Concerning the restaurant, the chef will chnage the quantities in the 10€ kid menu. However, we are very surprised about what you said regarding bedrooms as we do... More

It's an old structure, refurbished. Rooms are clean and little. Old shower! No problem for car parking. Anyhow the breakfast is nice and good: finally I had a big hot water pot for my tea and not only a cup! Perfect for business: right cost.

I stayed there one night. It is a quite old mercure, I would guess 80's building, small 3 floors but no lift. Breakfast is ok. There is a restaurant that I did not tried, but which offered rather attractive meal and wines. Staff was at the level, polite and efficient. Good for business and short stays

I stayed for 2 nights on business to Lyon. It is a nice small property which would suits the business travelers. It is typical Mercure (Accor) group small business hotel. I found breakfast okay with enough choices of drinks, cheese and breads with couple of hot options. The room was okay but clean. The upside - hotel offer free wi-fi... More
