I read reviews from fellow trip advisor contributors and I think they get it right. Depending on what you expect the place will either get a 1 or a 4 star....this is old style France, you get to like it eventually. As you read in other reviews, the recently repainted Chateau simply looks stunning. the drive from the motorway to... More

Stayed for a conference but I would recommend for a complete getaway. The hotel is comfortable and, thankfully, not 'redone' in that terrible faketique chain style that tends to infect older properties. Food was good to very good, and staff were professional and unobtrusive. Doesn't have the 5* trimmings but combined with the Rousseau park opposite, a good bet for... More

As others have said, from the outside its a fairytale chateau but as soon as you go inside everything changes. Admittedly, we were travelling on a budget and we could only run to their cheapest rooms but these are still €110 so not exactly cheap. The first thing is the staff. Not a smile for the entire visit, plus they... More

We recently attended a family get together here and when we arrived we fell in love with the outside of the building and surrounds, but when we went inside and to our rooms this quickly passed. Each room is very different and more importantly varies in size. We had an attic suite that was large, old fashioned and quirky (which... More

We spent a weekend at the chateau, we arrived after midnight & unless ordered in advance food was not available. Breakfast was good with a reasonable selection of fresh fruit /cheese / meats & good coffee. Dinner on Saturday night was excellent. The rooms were a little tired but that is part of the charm of staying in a chateau.... More

Want to stay in a real chateau? This is sort of that. We stayed here at end of an anniversary trip and I scored a lot of points with the love of my life with this choice of place to stay. Lovely 18th century chateau just north of Charles DeGaulle airport about twenty minutes, is a combination of old chateau... More

We stayed here for a family wedding at the Chateau, what a fantastic setting, the wedding was organised from the UK so there were some logistical challenges but it was well managed and we all had a fantastic time thanks to the professionalism of the staff and the wonderful venue. The food was excellent and the rooms comfortable and clean.... More

I stayed a few days in the hotel: it is more a conference location rather than a vacation hotel. The surrounding is really nice, the building is located in a park with a lake (JJ Rousseau died in the park). The hotel is built on the lake. The building was refurbished a long time ago (I understand it would be... More

We stayed here our last night of 12 nights in France, and it was an ideal setting for a relaxing last day in France. This is a beautiful chateau with an interesting history, and a lovely lake out back. The rooms we had were spacious, although a little rundown. The staff were moderately helpful, although we had to ask several... More
