I stayed at L'Hermitage during the Le Mans 24hrs week in early June 2015 and have done so for the last 10 years. That probably says it all. This is a wonderful little hotel, whether as a base to explore the Le Mans/Tours area or as a stop en route to or from the ferry ( it is about 130... More

We stayed at l'Ermitage on a Sunday night , on our way to Brittany from Paris , having chosen it at the very last moment , based on the great reviews from Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. L'ermitage is a French Hotel as all French hotels should be ....charming buildings and garden , instantly friendly with a sincere... More

The pillows were like two bags of cotton wool balls. Sounds good? Nope. I prefer a pillow to be comfortable. That aside. This hotel is quite special. It has a Michelin rating. My first venture into Michelin world. At least knowingly. At dinner, which stops at 9pm, we were given a freebie. An "amuse bouche", a warm glass of pulverised... More

This hotel would have been the perfect stay had it not been for the poor quality of sleep owing to the noise. I think I had a sum total of 3 hours sleep. The hotel grounds were just perfect given that we had a dog with us, lots of room to run about off the lead which was great. The... More

Stayed at this hotel to attend Le Mans classic. Restaurant fantastic food. Bit expensive but worth it. The lady restaurant manager? had great personality and the waiters were quite good. Our room was very small. Needed upgrading. No air con. The toilet door which was separate to the bathroom was very hard to open and was like a strong fire... More

Even though Saulges is a 1 hour drive from the circuit, on balance it is probably worth it. The hotel is very comfortable, attractive and good food. The village itself is made up of a few homes and one bar which was shut most evenings. The hotel has secure car parking, heated pool and comfortable seating areas.

We used l'Ermitage as our base during our regular visit to 24 hours of Le Mans. The location is delightful, very secluded and in a tiny village. The restaurant is of exceptionally high quality with a very adventurous Chef - mixing tastes, flavour and textures in a way I have never experienced before - each course is a culinary adventure.... We recently spent one night here on our way north to the ferry. Saulges is a delightful pretty peaceful village with lovely walks right from the hotel doorstep. The front of the hotel is lovely, very old and characterful and the welcome from the gentleman at the desk was very friendly, but unfortunately when he took us to our room... More

This is a lovely Relais de Silence in a peaceful village not far from the main Laval - Le Mans road. Setting is rural. The relais rooms are very well furnished and they have lovely views over the countryside. There is a nice piscine which can be covered in poor weather. Meals are of a good quality and there is...
