Le Chateau de Vaulage was a random selection due to its proximity to Le Mans and the Sarthe valley. We were not sure if it would be too "stuffy" for a 12 year old boy but instead found the welcome to be down to earth, friendly and most accommodating. Micol and Marissa are divine hostesses who can do no wrong for ther guests. The Chateau makes you feel as though you are a privileged guest in a beautiful home - complete with a moat! The rooms are beautifully appointed and the owners are extremely hospitable and kind. It was a wonderful experience to stay at Vauloge, extremely relaxing and luxurious at the same time. You really escape to a different time. more
