The staff are friendly. The whole place is peaceful with lovely walks around the old mill, and the restaurant was amazing with very friendly staff and fantastic food. We will definitely recommend this hotel and restaurant to our friends and family, and will be visiting it again very soon. And it's only half an hours drive from Calais.

My husband booked this hotel for my 70th Birthday celebrations, with friends who joined us for the weekend from England. What a lovely weekend we had at this Hotel. We were treated to fabulous food, very attentive staff and comfortable rooms. The setting in which this Hotel stands is so picturesque you won't want to go anywhere else. As this... More

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel recently and found it a pleasure to stay in. We had visited their restaurant many times but not the hotel. Our room was more than adequate with a good sized bathroom and separate wc.Comfortable beds and a great view of the river outside complete with ducks, what more could you ask for? This hotel is situated in a very quiet spot, it was an old mill, and has been very well converted in to excellent hotel accommodation. The rooms are very well furnished, and soundproofed. The grounds are well maintained with a small river running past the old mill and under the hotel accommodation. The evening meal in the restaurant even in... More

We spent two nights here the hotel is set in lovely grounds. The cement works does not detract from the setting of the hotel. Our room was excellent spotless roomy and well appointed. Unfortunately there were no coffee making facilities but bottled water was provided. We had a large walk in wardrobe which was much appreciated. The only drawback was... More

Our second stay at this very nice hotel....as long as you can get past the cement works you will find a lovely old mill and very welcoming hosts. The rooms are modern and nice, the food is excellent and its convenience for Calais could not be bettered

The Hotel just off the motorway is set in nice gardens just positioned so you cant quite see the industrial chimney belting out smoke. The garden ,river, and outside dining area look great in the summer but not in December. The room was reasonably spacious, but bland, the bathroom ok. The restaurant is set in a separate building on the first floor. The... More

This was the last of 6 hotel stopovers in France; once you find the hotels, it is a mile or so out of Lumbres it is in a delightful location. The hotel is set over a river, which ran right under our room, from where we took great pictures of the Old Mill 40 yards away which was where we... More

I agree with the previous reviewer (FODOR) everything He / She says is correct. We did however eat at the restaurant, The service was fine, the food was well presented and we had no complaints, however the following night we ate at l'channel in Calais and it was about 10 euros more expensive price wise but out of the window... We stayed two nights for convenience as it was near Calais. The bar and front door shut at 7, which meant there were no facilities for making coffee either. There was only a hand held shower spray in the bath and no slip mat which meant showering was slippery and difficult. The food in the adjoining restaurant was good, as... More
