We stayed here for one night en route to Burgundy. As other reviews have said, the bedrooms are in a rather ugly 70's or 80's building. The rooms are spotlessly clean, but rather small and basic. The bathrooms, while spotless, are a little spartan. The restaurant is in the very attractive old mill building, which is visible from the bedrooms.... more

We stayed here overnight to break a long journey back to the UK from the French Alps. The location is ideal for this purpose - not far off the A26 and well signposted. The location is very picturesque and the old watermill is beautiful (this houses the restaurant for the hotel). However the main hotel block with rooms has all... more

We stayed here on a Sunday night over Bank Holiday weekend, with four adults and a 1 year old. We had struggled to find anywhere in northern France with a decent restaurant that was open on a Sunday evening, but this didn't disappoint. The location is lovely - the cement factory is quite far down the valley and we certainly... more

Booked after seeing Logis de France brochure which looked wonderful for a romantic weekend away.Couldn't have been more wrong! Hotel is NOT the charming mill as described, but a 1970's motel block on the other side of thge car park. Room was dark, dismal and very dirty. Bed was not made. Sticky fluid remains were left on the table and... more

We stayed here on our way back from a lovely holiday in France and, on a Sunday, no other place nearby was open for dinner. Extremely quiet ( a Relais de Silence) - very few other guests. The grounds are lovely, with the river running under our room. The restaraunt ( over in the original mill building), was very good,... more

My wife claims to have seen an "under new management sign" which might explain why we enjoyed the hotel so much more than the previous reviews. We received a warm welcome and the restaurant was very good. A bit pricey, but with the current strength of the Euro so is everywhere else! The cement factory at the road end was... more

I am totally in agreement with the previous reviewer. Possibly we were there at the same time as we were also told that there was no hot water as one of the boilers wasn't working and that they couldn't get anyone to repair it because of the bank holiday. The 'welcome' if you could call it that was lukewarm like... more

We arrived after an 8 hour journey to find there was no hot water, we were told that due to the May Day holiday it would be difficult to get a technician to fix the problem. We had a cold shower in a bathroom that we thought was in need of some refurbishment and then went for dinner in the... more

We had dinner in the restaurant. we seldom have had such an awfull dinner. Nothing was really warm, everything was tasteless. It seemed as if nothing was really fresh. The staff was not really nice and the atmosphere in the restaurant was really bad. Non of the people seemed to enjoy the evening. Although it was Christmas time there were... more

I do wonder if some of the reviewers were staying in a different hotel to us! We didn't find any accommodation the resembled prefabricated huts or anything like it, I was a bit concerned when I read those reviews! The cement factory was visible from our room at night in the distance because of the illumination, but in daylight only... more
