This hotel is pure Retro. 1930s decor and furnishings go with an old-style personal service. I could imagine Poirot descending the grand staircase or Captain Hastings wandering lost in the outbuildings. When we were there there was even a pianist rather than Musak. But don't be misled - business firms from Boulogne and area regularly use the facilities for meetings,... More

At the end of the day this is a privately owned Chateau come Maison in a sleepy little village yet very accessible for Calais (30 mins) , Le Touquet (30 mins) and Boulogne (15 mins) IT IS NOT A FIVE STAR CHAIN HOTEL , thank goodness. You are greeted by the family , the rooms @ 60 Euro are what... More

We had a really good stay at Hostellerie de la Wast. The room was huge and the beds pretty comfortable and it's a very quiet location with plenty of parking space. The manageress was delightful....really friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was a bit dated (the cost of upkeep of a place this size must be huge) but it gave... More

We stayed here last Sunday and are generally in agreement with other reviewers. The welcome was warm and our room was very smart and comfortable; the bathroom was large and actually had a bath, which my wife appreciates. The bed was comfortable. We went straight to the elegant restaurant rather than first perusing the menu in the bar and were... More

Why we didn't discover this wonderful hotel and restaurant years ago, I'll never know. The food is terrific with a choice of menus and the breakfast is also excellent. The rooms are fine and the rates are very competitive.

Been staying here off and on for more than 20 years which must indicate how much we like it. The Feutry family who run this hotel are a pleasure to know and can't do enough to make you feel welcome. There is a huge area for parking at the rear of the hotel, the rooms are clean and comfortable and... More

Brilliant hidden getaway although plenty of Brits who thought the same. Basic room but comfy bed, huge bath, plenty of hot water and if you really miss home some sky channels too. But the real gem is the extremely friendly family that run this hotel and the fantastic restaurant with superb food. Although nothing to see in the village I... More

Based on recommendations we visited last weekend (Bank Holiday). Can't say enough good things. Not to be missed (although should give a bad review and keep availability for our next visit..!) The rooms are immaculate (and recently refurbished) - we had a four poster with vast space overlooking for front gardens. The hotel is warm, welcoming and friednly with excellent... More

Enjoyed a short break here on half board. The bedroom was comfortable and traditional with a very modern shower room, and tv with many channels including a few from the UK. The restaurant is quite large with the kitchen on view behind a picture window. The food was fantastic, especially the gourmet menu, although all the menus had interesting choices,... More

Le Wast is only 16 km from Boulogne, and handy for the A16 motorway. This is a very handy place to stay for an overnight shopping trip across the channel. The hotel is a rather quirky mix of old and new, which we rather liked. The rooms are comfortable, but had no tea making facilities. Our room had a bath... More
