We stayed overnight at this '70s-'80s dated hotel and were welcomed by the friendly owner -whom by the way, taking into account the hotel's interior, showed some funny (positive) Basil Fawlty-likeliness-, who showed us the room, explained breakfast and dinner timings. He warmly confirmed us also a table for 2 for dinner in his restaurant. The room was basic, a... More

We used this hotel for an overnight en route stop. It was a bit difficult to find but the hotel had placed a few strategic signposts on main roads. It is at a t-junction in a small village and there is parking available at the front of the hotel. It is a member of the Logis and Contact groups so... More

The room was really basic for the price. The menu was frighteningly expensive. We were not paying 40 - 60+ euros for a meal so went down the road to a café that served decent sized serves for the price paid. Even the beer was cheap! We're not against having a splurge on food and a lovely room, but this... More

Dont expect a modern hotel. its very dated, but clean. it was ok for us ( 4 men) as we were visiting local war graves and just wanted a drink at night and a sleep, rooms and bathroom 70's style, the manager was always available and spoke good english and was very helpful. its located in a small village with... Stayed one night here on bank holiday (15th August) so assume it was quieter than normal - we seemed to be the only guests and certainly were alone in the restaurant. We were extremely grateful that it was open! Firstly we were made welcome on arrival.only saw one member of staff during our stay - assume M.Martin- who was very... More

i like to stay somewhere memorable on the last night of my holidays but this place is remembered for all of the wrong reasons. The tiny dingy rooms that were like Blackpool meets Brighton seafront squalor, bathrooms shoehorned into the rooms so that you could bearly stand upright in the shower and banged your head whilst sat on the toilet.... We stayed in this hotel on a Saturday night. We chose it from the Logis book, which normally lists good small and mid sized hotels, which have a high standard of food. The hotel is well presented externally. The main public areas are attractive. The main dining room was very pleasant, but not crowded as one might expect for a... More

Went to the Hotel to because we had been several times over the last 10 years, but not since it had changed hands. Purpose was to celebrate my wife's birthday in the restaurant. We were not dissapointed. We really enjoyed the food and ambiance. The food was presented with a certain flair appropriate for the occasion. All staff were very... More

We stayed as a one night stay ( not prebooked ) on a motorbike tour . Reception was good and garaging offered for the bike . Room size was good and bed comfortable but although updated poorly done ( cushion floor on top of carpet , window that wouldn't open ,very noisy plumbing . The restaurant offered a set menus... This hotel has changed hands within the last 2 years and our old Michelin Guide was sadly out of date, gone has the bib gourmand, a recomendation for good food at moderate prices. The current menu is limited to say the least, the restaurant is cold, my wife eat her meal with her coat on, rooms not much warmer. The... More
