While parking is a rad difficult at times this hotel is well priced, comfortable and meets the needs of most travellers. Even with a coach party of 30 all descending on the breakfast room at the same time, the hotel coped well. The rooms were clean and comfortable although the wifi was a tad weak. All in all a good... Firstly the positives: although the rooms are very basic, they are spotlessly clean. The bar/breakfast room is very pleasant and houses the proprietors collectables. The continental breakfast is plentiful and varied. It is situated on a quiet road just outside the town centre. Now, the not so good: the outside doors are locked at 22.00 and entrance is by code... How can i describe this hotel, Appalling would be a kind reflection of the service and rooms of the Lys Hotel. Checking in was a pantomime of epic proportions, trying to get some sleep in beds so small they appear designed for the seven dwarfs, Oh and if you fancy a drink past 2200, forget it ...they close. And then... More

Don't expect English to be spoken but the staff are helpful and attentive and patient with broken French! A continental breakfast costs €8 and parking is free. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and it is well priced and well located for tours into the Belgium battlefields which was the purpose of our trip. The breakfast room is charming... More

We stayed at this hotel on the way back from Germany. For a cheap stopover it was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was large though being at the front of the hotel it is on a noisy road. This was not a problem for us. Secure parking which is a must when travelling on a... More

I was in this area during the world war "celebrations" and finally found a room at this hotel. I was very pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean and reasonably large (for France), breakfast was good. Parking is secure (you have to get the security sorted out to ensure you get in!) and the staff friendly and helpful. All this for... More

Stayed in the hotel with my brothers and sisters because we had a wedding in Wervik, Belgium. The rooms are quite small and basic, but everything needed is there and the rooms are spotless. Also available is free wifi , a free parking place and good breakfast. But what really is great is the service. They arranged taxis (where we... More

Very friendly, clean and accomidating. Lobby and dining are beautifully decorated. They have alot of beautiful antiques to give it a comfortable atmosphere. The hotel offers a european style breakfast. There is a Patio and garden area out back which is very well maintained. Beautiful flower boxes in each room window with a butterfly decoration in each box. There is... More

Very comfortable clean basic hotel, no frills just good service, the hotel has a 10pm curfew when after that time you need the entry number to access hotel and car park, seems to work OK, the car park is very secure, make sure you know where you are going as the hotel is dark on the outside and needs alight... My stay here was of one night,as a result of all Kortrijk hotels being unexpectedly full.Halluin is a very ordinary small town in the Lille/Kortrijk/Tournai metropolitan area, and seemed quite lifeless on this occasion, being a Monday when many shops stay closed, especially in August. All but one of the restaurants within walking distance were closed.Fortunately, this one(Italian) was very good. The location,on a dusty... More
