This is a great little hotel just south of Boulogne with comfortable, albeit compact rooms. Last time we visited in February we were impressed with the good value restaurant but this time we felt the quality had slipped with the smoked Salmon being disappointing this time round. I hope it is just a blip, anyway I will give it the... More

Good place to stay after crossing the Channel to France. Easy to find, not far off motorway. Very budget but very cheap. For a 1night stop over its fine but wouldn't want to stay longer. Lots of nearby restaurants to eat out.

Stayed for two nights, the room was on the second floor some may find the stairs difficult but they were fine for us, the room and en suite were clean, tidy and basic. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was adequate and the dining room clean and tidy, we didn't eat in the restaurant but it did smell... More

Very easy to find Very clean rooms Estuary views Comfy bed TV Hairdryer Free parking in square opposite Easy walk into centre It is cheaper to book direct with the hotel via phone than online - we paid €10 more using booking.com, fairly common though I guess Smell of cabbage and then fish pervaded the ground and first floor presumably... Going up two flights of stairs is not my idea of fun but the room, with shower was decent enough although we had asked for a view of the square but instead looked over some back streets. The real surprise was in the restaurant where my wife ordered their home smoked salmon to start, it was a revelation. I was... More

Stayed here for 1 night in July. The room and bathroom was very clean and comfortable but the attention to hygiene in the dining room leaves a lot to be desired. I didn't expect to see dogs in the dining room or the breakfast buffet bread and croissant buzzing with flies. The only plus was that the fish we had... More

I have stayed here a couple of times with friends en route to the tunnel and to enjoy a meal at Aux Pecheurs. It is clean and the owner is helpful and friendly. Parking is in the public car park opposide which does not get busy in the evenings. Rooms at the front, which we have always had, have a... More

We found this hotel when we arrived in Etapes in late August. The hotelier was very welcoming and the room appeared to be very clean as described in other reviews. Unfortunately a few negatives stand out - everytime they cooked in the kitchen the smell became quite strong in the room which became overwhelming. The other problem was that the... More

Booked this with no great expectations as it was cheap and cheerful and handy for the tunnel, but was pleasantly surprised. Second-floor quiet room (NB no lift) view to rear of hotel was a bit snug but had all the essentials and looked recently redecorated, and the bedroom and ensuite shower room were impeccably clean (not so much as a... I stayed with my family for just one night in the family room which comprised of 1 double bed and 2 single sofa beds. The bedroom and ensuite appeared to be recently refurbished and was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming and although we didn't eat in the restaurant, it seemed to be very nice. This is... More
