Have just returned from a visit to France and the Chateau de l'Hoste. As always we find the hosts Lisa and Eric and their excellent staff led by Guy in the kitchen and Mark in the restaurant friendly, efficient and helpful. For non French speakers Lisa, Eric and Mark all speak excellent English. The chateau makes a delightful hotel with... More

Once you have found this wonderful 'chateau' you will marvel at the large and beautifully furnished bedrooms, the lovely grounds, fine dining and pleasant and helpful staff. Our room (no. 106) overlooked the front and couldn't be faulted. Highly recommended.

Having just returned from a stay in this lovely hotel, I can only agree with other reviewers who have found it enchanting. The location is beautiful, the service excellent and the food is superb - not cheap, but worth the price for such delicious and unusual menus. Monsieur and Madame are very hands-on and have a well-trained team of staff.... More

We stayed at Chateau de l'Hoste in August 2013 for 3 days and were extremely pleased in many ways. The hotel is very well located : surrounded by beautiful valleys and sunflower fields, it only takes a 10 to 30min by car to get to some of the most charming villages of the area. To add on to this, the... More

The best time to visit this enchanting restaurant is when it's possible to dine on the terrace. Having eaten here three times in the last five weeks, we feel confident to suggest the quality of the food and service is of the highest standard. We have also eaten inside where yet again the atmosphere and ambience are first class. A... More

Nice little castle in a very quiet location amidst fields of sunflowers and corn. Dinner and brekfast on the terrace, nice pool. Our room was not great, but then again we were very late and it was the only one left. The food was a much better deal. Really great in taste, quality, style and for are very reasonable price.

I wanted to treat my teen aged daughter to her first trip to France, a chance to hone her language and her cooking skills (she is very skilled) and to be able to relax. That meant I wanted to avoid Paris. It is, after all, August in France. The Chateau could not have been a more perfect choice. We did... More

We stayed at Chateau de l'Hoste for 7 nights and have really enjoyed our time there. We booked a 'classic room' including breakfast. Below our opinion on the overall stay. The positives: - nice breakfast, freshly baked bread and local produce - good, attentive service - friendly, international staff, have loads of tips for things to see and do in... More

On a recent business trip to the region, with a developer who works for me, I was recommended to this hotel by a local estate agent. There was only one other elderly couple staying there. It was regrettable that my wife was not with me. If that had been the case I would have chosen one of the top suite/rooms,... More
