This elegant boutique hotel is a true gem that is located in the charming and peaceful village of Le Paradou in the Alpilles region of Provence. The building dates from 1699 so has all the charm of a 17th century Provancale home, but the gracious owners and hosts, Nick & Andrea, have converted the spacious rooms to include modern luxuries... This is a hotel quite unlike any I've stayed in..- if this sounds negative its not supposed to be - it is unique. The sumptuous interiors, including bedrooms, bathrooms and 'public areas' are breath-taking and you do feel very well looked after, indeed one of the family. Its small (not a problem there) and certainly not 'miles from anywhere', which... More

Writing trip advisor reviews, it's important, I think, to be fair & responsible in order to best help the community & enable people to get the most out of the site..So, here goes: This house is utterly, utterly beautiful & extremely tasteful, We had a great stay & really did throroughly enjoy our stay there. The thing you have to... More

My husband and I have just returned from spending 4 wonderful weeks in Paradou. We rented La Maison Bleue, in the grounds of La Maison du Paradou, as our grown up children were 'dropping in' on their various travels throughout Europe. We could not have chosen a more welcoming and wonderful 'home away from home'. Not only was the house... More

Just returned from the most wonderful & relaxing 3 night stay at La Maison du Paradou. The house is charming and felt like a home-from-home the minute we arrived. We felt warm and happy as soon as we pulled up in front of the pretty blue gates and then we were greeted by smiling Nick and Teddy his chocolate Labrador... More

Well-traveled, we have friends who suggested we stay here. Great location for seeing Provence; rooms charming and spacious; owners made us feel as if we were personal guests in their home. Gracious, accommodating, and helpful; delicious breakfasts; we happened to be fortunate enough to be recipients of one of the owners special dinners, which I understand occurs occasionally. We know... More

First let me apologize to our gracious hosts for taking so long to post this on Trip Advisor. The location of tiny Paradou village and adjoining Maussane seem to be fairly remote but once you arrive at La Maison du Paradou you have truly arrived in a special welcoming place. Which is also strategically well placed to visit all of... More

We were two couples looking for a memorable weekend away from it all with not too far to travel. La Maison du Paradou was suggested by a colleague and proved to be a wonderful choice. The setting was lovely, the rooms even better - the owners did their upmost to make it the best B&B we have ever stayed in.... More

During the summer my boyfriend sat next to a couple at a wedding who had recently visited Provence and told him about a Bistro in a small village called Paradou that we just had to visit. (you pay for water not wine as that is unlimited... this sounded like his sort of place). However it wasn't the Bistrot du Paradou... More

First the positives: La Maison du Paradou is a quaint building, the bed was comfortable and breakfast OK.. So what's wrong? Well unfortunately, this 300 euro per night B&B (please note, this is NOT a boutique hotel) is largely let down by the owner (Nick). Just as others have commented before, we also found Nick to be incredibly rude. It... More

This review demonstrates all that is wrong with Tripadvisor. It has been allowed to stand despite my objections and the simplest way to state my case is to reproduce the objections that I sent to Tripadvisor and to let you judge for yourself: "This review is factually inaccurate, misleading and (in the defamatory sense of the word) malicious for the...
