We wanted to have a destination wedding that would not only give our guests the opportunity to visit a place from their bucket list but also to experience the wonderful Provençal life. We fell in love at first sight with the main house of La Maison de Bournissac and its surrounding compound that overlooks olive groves and the Parc Naturel... More

Trip advisors disagree wildly on this place. They either love or hate it. And, if we had read the reviews before coming, we probably wouldn't have and, in the process, would have missed a treat. Yes, this is not the Plaza Athenée and, for the picky, there's plenty of raw material. However, this is laid-back Provence at ts best where... More

We booked this hotel looking for a quiet retreat in the countryside to end our 2 week trip in Provence. What a horror! When we arrived the outer door to the hotel was locked. A very grumpy man (who we later found out was the owner) reluctantly let us in. We had splurged on a suite. Neither the heat or... More

The drawing point for this hotel is its one michelin star restaurant where we enjoyed a fabulous meal. However, the hotel is very nice as well. It is located about 10 kms from St. Remy de Provence just outside of the small town of Noves. It is off the road among olive groves and grape vines with a long dirt... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights after travelling down on the train from the UK, looking for a weekend of relaxation and good food and we weren't disappointed. The room, the pool area and the surroundings were all beautiful. I would definitely recommend eating in the restaurant, we had two evening meals including the tasting menu. The staff... More

We had two nights at La Maison in August 2010 because our favourite 'maison d'hôtes' in the area was fully booked. We enjoyed the hotel, the restaurant and the pool very much but with a few hickups. When we booked the only availabilty was a 'suite' for €270. Very steep for the room we got! While charming on two floors,... More

Stayed at hotel while in France but luckly for only one night. The Hotel could be lovely if only it was cleaned!!!. We had a chipped bath, no plug in bath, empty tissue boxes, smelly towels, handles missing off furniture, air con also did not work, I could go on!!!! But very pleased we were only there for one night... More

In almost a month’s stay in the south of France this turned out to be our favorite place. It manages somehow to combine a casual provincial ambiance with flair and elegance and just a touch of shabby gentility. The landscaping could use a bit more maintenance, for example. But in a very French way the most attention and energy goes... More

We stayed here for two nights in May. Pleasant setting however the general state of the hotel is not good. The terrace where one could sit to enjoy the view of the valley is run-down and dirty and there is a constant smell of sewage lingering annoyingly in the air which takes the enjoyment out of the experience. We were... More

We looked forward to our stay at La Maison and expected to spend money on a luxury stay. Sadly we found a small hotel which was rather tired and where standards had slipped since the last glowing review on this web site two years ago. The bedroom and lavatory had doors which would not open and close fully without jamming,... More
