the room was very quaint and traditional with lovely stone floors, characterful property, clean and tidy, but always felt as if you were intruding! Lots to see and do in the vicinity, we got there for the bull run and the villagers were all concentrated in the village square, we joined in and were made to feel welcome with the... More

A lovely old house beautifully presented. The room we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was included and adequate. Our host Corinne was extremely helpful and ensured she was present at breakfast to assist us with her knowledge of the area we wished to visit, and was full of great ideas for things to do in the area. There... More

We loved the house and room - very authentic, quirky, with real character, and a nice comfortable bed. Room amenities were quite basic, but adequate and good value for the low price of 65 euros b&b per night. Breakfast was simple, but good quality, with fantastic coffee. The b&b is owned by a couple, but unfortunately for us, only the... More

We spent 2 nights in this delightful home in May 2012 - the house is very old but recently remodeled and very comfortable with modern plumbing, plenty of electrical outlets, but best of all, the owners are very hospitable and helpful. Breakfast is included and delicious but dinner, which is extra, is very special if you choose it. The town... More

If you are seeking a luke warm welcome in what you thought was going to be a wonderful artistic experience, be put in the less than relaxing small room with a window over a street of noisy children and neighbours then book a night here in there 60 euro room. I found the welcome to be almost enough to get... More

I`ve been there with my 2 girls, (7 and 13) and they loved it. The house is warm, cozy, beautifully furnished. Full of small, lovely details. We used Calvisson as a base for a 3 days stay in provence, we visited arles, the camargue, st remy... but you need a car to stay there. The village is cute, quiet, incredibly... More

We booked our triple room directly through the bed and breakfast's website. Our triple was 70 Euros per night. Wood beam ceilings. Smooth stone floors. Exquisite antique furniture. We couldn't believe that we were paying only 70 Euros per night for our room. The Duchess room had two separate bedrooms which overlooked the small courtyard. The double bed was soft... More

Chez Burckel is a wonderful bed and breakfast in Calvisson near Nimes. The hotel is beautiful and well-renovated and decorated. the hosts are friendly and serve a nice dinner in the evenings upon request. parking is easy. There is a wonderful restaurant in town that serves whatever is fresh in the market that day. Everything in town is a short... More
