A must visit to a place of beauty and tranquility . The hotel is fabulous and everything about it is relaxed and elegant . Whilst we know a little French , having an English speaking hotel reception was very helpful.

We stayed here for three nights in early September. The hotel has ample parking space and is built on nice grounds with a decently sized pool. The “suite” we stayed in was quite small with about 10sqm each for bedroom and living room. It was functional and air-conditioned. Breakfasts were enjoyable although they have taken self service to a new... More

We stayed for 5 days in September and really enjoyed the hotel. Good friendly staff, great affordable breakfast and good spacious room. Great location in the village with easy access to the sea, beaches and restaurants. Parking available. The rooms (in the old part) are fairly basic but satisfactory. Best part if within minutes you are on the rocks next... More

My husband and I spent 6 days in Erbalunga at Castel Brando, and loved the hotel and the village. The hotel is much bigger than we expected, with at least 3 different buildings with rooms. But it still retains a 'boutiquey' atmosphere, with classy, traditional furnishings and understated but extremely friendly, helpful service. Our ferry was late in, and we... More

We booked this hotel due to the positive reviews we've read online, later we realized these reviews dated back from one or 2 years ago. Although tripadvisor still ranks this hotel 4 Stars, this has changed at the hotel itself, where everything has been downgraded to 3 Stars. The new 3 stars brings many differences with it: No minibar, simple,... More

Dear Tripadvisor user, This post does not concern our hotel. We think you posted in the wrong hotel , also called "Castel Brando" but surely in a other country. Our hotel has been recently upgraded 4 stars in november 2012 by the french ministry of tourism. The description you're giving does'nt match with our hotel. Best regards. More

OK, it's a boutique hotel, which means low staff numbers and you may have to wait your turn for attention - the wait is worth it - the staff couldn't be more helpful, friendly and courteous, and they all have little flag badges to show what languages they speak. I'd say the rooms appear basic, but the quality of the... More

We stayed for 5 nights at Castel Brando. We arrived late (and tired) the first night and had a small room with shower--my husband likes a bath. The next day we asked to change and were given a beautiful room, with bathroom, with wonderful views on the top floor. The staff , at reception, breakfast & cleaning, were excellent. Nothing... More

full value in a classy old venue.Old world charm away from the bustle of Bastia. Perfect !!! I would easily recommend it as a lovely spot in a village with great restaurants and water front ambience. Staff genuinely concerned that your stay is as positive as it can be.the rest is only to comply with the 200 word minimum.

We stayed here five years ago, and had the best memories. Our experience in October 2012 was no different - it's a charming, well-run hotel. Worth also mentioning that the village, Erbalunga, which is only a few metres from the hotel, is very atmospheric and attractive, and that adds a larger dimension to the hotel. There are several good restaurants... More

Lovely hotel but beware rooms near the main road - it is very busy from early on but the worst nuisance was rubbish being collected from bins adjacent to the hotel at 4.30 in the morning every morning we were there! 6 skip type bins were noisily emptied into a refuse truck - why it has to be in the... First we would like to thank you very much to had stay in our hotel . We feel very sorry that you've been waked up so early but the bin collection is outside the hotel , and we're trying to resolve this little problem wich is not depending on our will.
