Mara and Mario, excellent people! Learning how to make tagliatelle was fantastic! Warm people and delicious food. You can really have a terrific experience in this lovely place. It is like going back in time. Amazing hospitality in a very familiar environment. Mario is an expert in baking a wonderful and tasty bread! Worth the visit. See you very soon.

The location of IL Casato Agriturismo in Le Marche is excellent. It's within driving distance to nearby towns and villages like: Acqualagna, Castelraimondo and near the Terracruda Winery. Our room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The hosts, Mario and Mara Boria were excellent. Mario speaks English and is very entertaining. Mara is an excellent cook. Our dinners were delicious... I stumbled across Agriturismo Marche il Casato whilst researching the area for publicity material and roaming around the vineyards of Verdicchio di Matelica with Dutch wine importers. Il Casato is located in the middle of the wine region Verdicchio di Matelica about 2-3 miles outside the town of Matelica, in the province of Macerata in Le Marche region and about... More

My girlfriend and I spent 3 nights at Il Casato during our road trip through Italy, and it was by far the highlight of our trip. The interior of Le Marche is a true gem - scenic nature, charming medieval towns and off the main tourist circuit. The agriturismo route is in our opinion the best way to see the... More

In early August my wife and two teenagers had a delightful two-night diversion at Il Casato interposed between our stays in Rome and Florence. Located 2-3 miles outside the town of Matelica in the le Marche region and roughly four hours by car to the northeast of Rome, Il Casato, is a lovely inn converted from a farmhouse. We had... More

We stayed at Il Casato over Easter in April, 2007. We found it on-line. The New York Times did a review in their travel section a few years ago, and billed "Il Casato" as a great way to see the Marche. (This is a beautiful region of Italy which encompasses mountains and seaside. It is definitely undiscovered Italy: we didn't... More
