We used this base to explore the Vineyards of Rioja. Reasonably priced and very accomodating. The staff is so very helpful that we were embarrassed to seem confused as they worried that we were not happy. This is a relais and chateaux hotel and the high standards were exceeded. Rooms are immaculate and airy. The restaurant lives up to the... More

We stayed here as part of a bike tour. The hotel is beautifully designed with lots of little luxury touches. The staff is warm, welcoming and helpful. The dinner at the gastronomic restaurant may have been the best I've ever eaten. We've eaten in Michelin starred restaurants all over the world, but this one stands out. And, the surrounding country... More

When we arrived we couldn't figure out how to get in! The front desk person saw us and assisted right away with the very modern entry. Our room was bright and good sized. The bed "floated" in the middle of the room against a headboard with built in reading lights, outlets, etc. Behind it was a small sitting area and... More

Stayed here two nights after a heavy itinerary driving in northern Spain and Portugal. Reviews were promising and it lived up to all expectations. Room was modern furnished and very comfortable. Service was outstanding. Nothing was a problem. Ate in traditional restaurant and in room. Food was exceptional. Classic cuisine, beautifully prepared and presented. Met chef who was charming and... This is a beautifully designed modern luxurious hotel in a small village in the countryside far from anything. There is a beautifully restored church across from the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent as was the location of the hotel in the center of town. There are two fine restaurants that are part of... More

By chance i came to this hotel. One of the best places - enjoy michelin star restaurant or the plaza with locals and have simple and tasty pinxtos. The rooms are beautiful, service attentive and helpful. I will return ..so nice.

Very stylishly renovated hotel in an old building. Obviously a lot of effort had been expended to try and create a wow factor. We had a room on level 2 directly facing an old church. We had a very favourable impression of the hotel when we first checked in. However we only felt some things were not quite right when... More

During a recent tour of Rioja, we stayed two days in Ezcaray. The town looks like it was plucked from the set of a Disney fairy tale. A more beautiful setting will be hard to find. The modernist Echaurren stands in stark contrast to the village's historical surroundings. Our primary reason for choosing the location was the inn's restaurants, which... More

Loved this perfect GEM of a 3 star hotel. Room was incredibly well designed (but then again we were in the "renovated" floor). The restaurant was a two star Michelin restaurant that was so unexpected and fantastic. Really appreciated the family touch everywhere in the hotel. We initially stopped by to have a small dinner at the bar and the... More

Lovely little hotel in the cutest town. My parents had the modern room which was lovely whereas we were in the apartment and it really was like a Spanish apartment. Restaurant was great - we went to the non michelin starred one as wanted something just more Spanish and not so fine and the food was gorgeous. You have to... More
