This chateau is centrally located in the middle of chateau country. A 3 hr drive from Paris.Has charm , history, and all the modern conveniences. Plus a great restaurant. Super attentive staff ! A super way to experience staying at a real chateau. In the 21 st century.

I did not tryed any rooms, butthe castle looks authentic, nicely decorated. I went twice for diner, and each time I enjoyed it. High stone vaulted ceiling, soft lights, give a very confortable feeling Meals are made from local supplies. Tastes are fabulous, and it is delighting to eat. Staff is attentive. Very nice place to have a romantic and... More

This chateau hotel is fabulous as it sits on a hill overlooking the Loire. We were there for a cycling holiday and booked an apartment. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Unfortunately only a bath and no shower. No Wifi in the bedroom but complimentary in reception The restaurant was outstanding - fabulous food (especially the cheese... More

Marvellous setting, high above the main road. Parts of the chateau are carved in the rocks. For lunch we had: - Risotto with seafood - French beef, with three different potatoes - French cheese All beautifully presented with great taste. Very friendly service with great atmoshere in the restaurant situated below one of the towers of the chateau.

This was our maximum travell lodging ever. Prepare yourself to timetravell. This is an athentic Chateau turned into an intimate hotel. At the top of a hill lies this beauty of history overlooking the valley. Great interiour, well mantained and preserved where you past rewind your mind some centuries ago. Great breakfast with garden views, the most extraordinary dinner with... More

This was a revisit for us as we previously stayed here 10 years ago. The Chateau was as we remembered with its classic elegance and set in quiet and peaceful grounds. We had a double room located in the chateau's park near the swimming pool. The room was very quaint with wooden beams and built 'cave-like' under the terrace of... More

My wife and I stayed here at the start and end of our Gastronomic Loire Cycling Tour. We had a generous szed room at the back of the hotel, which was both clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our evening meals and the wine options were first class. The staff were both professional and polite. The Chateau's grounds were well maintained... More

We stayed here with a small tour group. Our experiences varied greatly. Some of the group were very unhappy. Lots of stair climbing for us and many others. The pool house being the worst accommodation, 'dank and musty' was the description given by the unfortunate couple. However my husband and I were happy with our airy large room with a... More

We stayed here as part of a tour group. Yes, it’s very old so didn’t expect elegance and grandeur but neither did we expect the stair climb up two stories and through a dozen doors to get to our room - there is a lift but not to our section. No TV and no internet, again not unexpected. However we... More

We stayed in July as a family in a 2 bedroom room on the 2nd floor and when we entered the room it was over 30 degrees in the room. I requested a fan and was told that they didn't have enough to go around and it's a chateau so you can't expect air conditioning, (a minimum of comprehension though... More
