This was a revisit for us as we previously stayed here 10 years ago. The Chateau was as we remembered with its classic elegance and set in quiet and peaceful grounds. We had a double room located in the chateau's park near the swimming pool. The room was very quaint with wooden beams and built 'cave-like' under the terrace of... More

My wife and I stayed here at the start and end of our Gastronomic Loire Cycling Tour. We had a generous szed room at the back of the hotel, which was both clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our evening meals and the wine options were first class. The staff were both professional and polite. The Chateau's grounds were well maintained... More

We stayed here with a small tour group. Our experiences varied greatly. Some of the group were very unhappy. Lots of stair climbing for us and many others. The pool house being the worst accommodation, 'dank and musty' was the description given by the unfortunate couple. However my husband and I were happy with our airy large room with a... More

We stayed here as part of a tour group. Yes, it’s very old so didn’t expect elegance and grandeur but neither did we expect the stair climb up two stories and through a dozen doors to get to our room - there is a lift but not to our section. No TV and no internet, again not unexpected. However we... More

We stayed in July as a family in a 2 bedroom room on the 2nd floor and when we entered the room it was over 30 degrees in the room. I requested a fan and was told that they didn't have enough to go around and it's a chateau so you can't expect air conditioning, (a minimum of comprehension though... More

What a lovely place to start our cycling holiday. Pleasant staff and lovely big bedrooms with large fluffy towels. The food was excellent. Especially the Rissotto starter. Lots of little nooks and crannies for you to sit and have aperitifs.

A stunning building. I reckon that our bedroom was updated at great expense over 20 years ago, not much had been to it since then, and it is now tired and needs a revamp. The room lacks modern amenities but it is in an old chateau, has genuine character and has a large and very comfortable bed. The restaurant is... More

it's not everyday that you get to sleep in areal castle and we loved it. Our room was in the tower, fabulous views, comfortable and quirky and very memorable, with a winding stone staircase up to the circular room. I felt like rapunzel. the restaurant was suitably medieval though the food was certainly not, very delicious and expertly served. The... More

After complaining after first stay(not wanting to return!)- we got better rooms! Why? But either way the whole place needs a good clean...and some of the restaurant staff a smile wouldn't go astray ! DO NOT expect luxury ! It's not and you'll be disappointed like us! ;(

Glad to find this reasonably priced yet beautiful castle. Fulfilled my dream of staying in a castle. Our room was very big, but not with the newest or most beautiful furnishing though. We can see the rail from our bedroom. We can also see the swimming pool but the weather was too cold for a swim. The castle is small... More
