I stayed here two nights while on a biking trip of the Loire Valley. There's a steep entry road to get to the Chateau but it's lovely. My room was pretty basic but it did have two different bedroom areas; one with a queen bed and one with a twin. The bathroom was large and had a separate toilet room.... More

Decent restaurant and the rooms are large with good views. Good swimming pool and everything clean. No air con in rooms or fans. A great place but the internet is bad. Restaurant service and food is better than average. We would definitely recommend.

The Castle located on top of a hill with a nice park and swimmingpool. The interior of the caslte is nice done, with lots of character. There are 4 bungalows to be let , perfect for people with dogs or small children , you have more privacy. Excellent restaurant with a nice selection of regional wines and also from other... More

Stay in there for a birthday in a dungeon suit! Two floors dungeon based suit with a glass floor on the top floor that is a spacy bathroom. Very cosy stay in a castle style. French hospitality and politeness is on the top of expectations in all little details. There is a gastronomic restaurant in the chateau. If fully booked... More

A group of 12 friends had the most trouble filled journey from UK to the Loire due to not enough seats on our Air France flight and 9 missing suitcases! Most arrived much too late for the booked 7 course meal but the hotel provided a fabulous cold platter of all sorts of delicious foods and allowed a free bottle... More

My husband John and I stayed 4 nights in the Loire Valley and Chateau de Chissay was the ideal base for us to drive to all of the major chateaux we wanted to see. The location is excellent. However the service we received was what made our visit so special. From our first encounter with Isabelle, we felt very well... More

This chateau is centrally located in the middle of chateau country. A 3 hr drive from Paris.Has charm , history, and all the modern conveniences. Plus a great restaurant. Super attentive staff ! A super way to experience staying at a real chateau. In the 21 st century.

I did not tryed any rooms, butthe castle looks authentic, nicely decorated. I went twice for diner, and each time I enjoyed it. High stone vaulted ceiling, soft lights, give a very confortable feeling Meals are made from local supplies. Tastes are fabulous, and it is delighting to eat. Staff is attentive. Very nice place to have a romantic and... More

This chateau hotel is fabulous as it sits on a hill overlooking the Loire. We were there for a cycling holiday and booked an apartment. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Unfortunately only a bath and no shower. No Wifi in the bedroom but complimentary in reception The restaurant was outstanding - fabulous food (especially the cheese... More

Marvellous setting, high above the main road. Parts of the chateau are carved in the rocks. For lunch we had: - Risotto with seafood - French beef, with three different potatoes - French cheese All beautifully presented with great taste. Very friendly service with great atmoshere in the restaurant situated below one of the towers of the chateau.
