We stayed here as a way of accessing the Burgundy region this summer. The hotel is in a gorgeous building- a former outbuilding of the nearby grand house. The receptionists were efficient, but not particularly helpful either while checking in or at any other time. Our room was a junior suite, which was on the top floor, quite a long... More

We choose that hotel for it represent to the local history. Being the only hotel in Le Creusot 115 Euros excluding breakfast for a 3 star hotel it is very expensive for what you get. This is France and you crawl under taxes, the consumer finish by paying. Overall nice experience

A splendid old building converted into a hotel, with every mod con... almost. Excellent service and friendly manner of all staff we came across. Possibly the best buffet breakfast we have had - not only this holiday - but including the unbeatable 'German Breakfasts' of other holidays! Their August offer of a reduced room price and including the breakfast was... More

We had a nice two night stay in this hotel. Our requirements are rather basic - a good room and a good breakfast, clean bathroom and shower with lots of hot water. No problems here. The place has an air of a former grandeur, otherwise everything was fine. Be sure to see the giant Schneider Steam Hammer located on a... More

While the building looked nice this hotel was easily the worst experience on our 2 week trip through France. Service was below average to non existent, rooms very basic & hot and the quality of food was extremely bad. The only positive thing about our stay was the fact that this was only a 1 night stopover along the way.

The facade looks ok. Our rooms were located at the rear of the property, massive rooms but in need of refurbishment, especially the bathroom which strongly smelt of damp. It also had several cracked tiles. No bar fridge or breakfast in room tarif. The door lock was very flimsy which made us feel insecure. Has good potential but needs capital... More

What started as a nice looking building off the beaten track, turned into a nightmare stay. The room was large but very smelly. The staff were unhelpful and, at times, plain rude. Worst of all however, we booked on lastminute and were charged in advance for the stay. Wnen we went to check out, we were told that we had... More

Although the building is very impressive, the interior of the hotel gives you a sense of abandonment. It's worth to mention that we had to wait at least 10 minutes for someone to turn up on the reception desk in order to check in. The room was very big but in serious need of refurbishment. Bathroom not too clean.

I recently stayed at this hotel for five days while in Burgundy visiting with family. It was nice and clean, very comfortable, and with a very helpful staff. When I was looking for information about the location of some businesses in the area, the desk staff took the time to research and print out information for me. I didn't use... More
