We took my mother out for her birthday and went to Chablis where she had so many wonderful memories. Hostellerie des Clos is a quiet hotel with free parking (handy when the car is ful of wine !) and on walking distance from Chablis 'centre'. The rooms are modern and functional. The staff is professional and friendly and the restauarant... More

We stayed here one night. Rooms are modern and quiet, and breakfast buffet (included in our room rate) was very good. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the town center. As you walk in that direction, about 150 meters from the hotel you reach Place Lafayette with a prominent war memorial. If you turn right here (rather than... More

My fiancé took me here on my birthday for a one night stay during our two-week road trip. It was absolutely exquisite! Beautiful second level room overlooking the garden, cozy bed, and champagne in the room before dinner. The restaurant was superb and filled with a variety of people. (Surprised to see a man dressed in flip-flops and a tank... More

We were looking forward to our second stay in the Hostellerie des Clos, hoping it would be as good as our first last autumn and we were not disappointed. This time we took advantage of a special offer of a double room for 96 € and though a simpler and smaller room than the 'superior' one last time it had... More

We have been in the hotel several times and still enjoy it. Spacious room in the residence. the food in the restaurant was perfect exept the fish which was to salty. We informed the chef when he made his tour, but he did not answer very properly. As if you are not allowed to have a comment. the personal worked... More

We stayed in the hotel which was spacious and very comfortable except the floor was very noisy. The bathroom (the shower in particular) was wonderful!! However, the taps were VERY hard to turn. The restaurant was amazing - we had the duck for 2 which was carved at the table and tasted awesome. It was within reasonable walking distance to... More

Four of us visited this restaurant recently for a lovely lunch. Although aperitifs were offered we decided to have wine as we did have a 60 km drive ahead of us later in the afternoon. A nice selection of "dips" was brought to the table - aubergine, salmon and a pork terrine....We ordered our meals and so it began. My... More

We stayed at this hotel during a wine tour of the area. It was comfortable and very adequate for our needs. The floor in the room was not carpeted, so this seemed rather noisy when we walked on it. I'm not sure if this was a problem for the guests staying on the floor below. Breakfast was pretty good, with... More

Interesting to read all the reviews! I am a bit of a hotel snob in many ways and those things that were negatives for some of the reviewers were not at all for my husband and myself! We arrived late in the evening but the resturant which was busy , welcomed us. My husband had devine seared froie Gras, best... More
