With help of a lovely girl in a tourist office we booked a night at this historic hotel. The reception area is impressive and restored to give the guest an insight into the era of its day. Yet when you open your room door a very spacious and airy room greets you with all the needs of today including wifi.... More

A well situated hotel, plenty of parking and close to the autoroute, it is an ideal location to go west to Biarritz or east to Lourdes or south to the Pyrenees. Food is good though the menu is limited. But the hotel is only 3 minutes walk to the centre of the town where there are many fine restaurants. The... More

My visit to this hotel came as part of a symposium organised by a club of which I am a member. It was their annual meeting covering four days and three nights. The event had receptions, meals and the use of a meeting room. Firstly the building. This is an extraordinary period building wth some of the most interesting architecture... More

We also wondered what we had let ourselves in for when checking into this strange juxtaposition of two worlds. The grande maison or perhaps the facade says chateau more than anything with a thousand windows, inside the lobby is a dark wooden interior with a casino on the ground floor behind some screens. Mainly slot machines. You could be forgiven... More

We stayed in the hotel at short notice after running into adverse weather on the Pyrenees I needed a room for my tired family to bed down. The hotel is an old grand building with a glass ceiling and almost a Mississippi steam paddler feel about the interior. The staff were really nice and helpful making check in slick. A... More

Salies de Bearn is the most beautiful pristine medieval town. We have stayed at Hotel du Parc twice. First time we wondered what on earth we had let ourselves in for. Majestic old building with dark interior, wooden clad walls. Wonderful surprise when we were shown our room which was spacious and modern. The casino part is isolated to one... More

I have stayed at this hotel (which is also now a Casino) many times and each time I feel as though I should be wearing a long dress and floating down the beautiful staircase, which is unfortunately no longer on show. The hotel stood empty for many years until it was modernised. However, although the rooms are very comfortable and... More

delightful looking village where people go for water cures at the beautiful water cure building next door to hotel. we were given a very small room in the heritage listed biding. the renovation of the room was very adequate and the room looked good but we discovered that the heavy curtains, which are adequate to blind the huge spot light... We stayed here one night on a stopover on our way home from Madrid. The town was having a festival and it was very lively, so that helped. The room was huge, with a king size bed and a bed settee for our two boys. The breakfast was great, a real selection of foods and drinks that had everyone satisfied.... More

We stayed four nights with a Groupon. We had a superior room (number 305), very bright, it was a huge room with a view on the Thermal Spas and the music kiosk. Large bathroom too. The bedroom was very quiet and the bed was a king size with a good mattress. The TV was small and far from the bed,... More
