We arrived in early evening after a French Holiday and the owner was closing the hotel to allow his workers to have a night off. But to our surprise, he let us stay there anyway. We only needed to turn out the hotel lights when going to bed. Our room was great and had a nice view of the river.... More

A magnificent facade in a wonderful setting I must confess but once past the tiny reception a truly amazing experience awaits. As you climb the stairs to your room the depression begins and it doesn't get any better beyond that. In fact you realize the reception, bar/corridor and staircase is a treat compared to what awaits you behind the bedroom... More

We arrived in Beynac late on a Sunday night, it was approaching the end of season and it seemed like the only place open for food and was very busy, both inside and out. So much so, the staff seemed a little bit under the gun. We opted for Veggie lasagne and drinks, service was a bit lacking, but the... More

This hotel was booked for us by a cycling tour. Location in the centre of town just below the chateau excellent. Room basic but comfortable and adequate. Hotel on main road but quiet at night. The real plus for us was the very helpful manager when we had a problem with our bikes and couldn't get in touch with the bike... More

This was a relatively inexpensive hotel, in a fantastic location. Initially we were a bit disappointed to get a room with no view of the Dordogne or chateau, but in the end we were very pleased with it. We had patio doors opening onto a terrace which contained skylights into the hotel's kitchen, and we could hear the staff as... More

Amazing value - I think I paid 180 euros for 5 days! with Breakfast. The pool on their site doesn't quite look so shiny now but it does the job. Staff are really friendly & wifi works in most places. They have seating over the river which is nice! & theres a cheap car park just over the road!

I stayed here for 4 nights as my friends were getting married up the road, I found this place to be just perfect to be honest, amazing value and right In the middle of one oft he most beautiful little villages. I'd stay here again and would recommend it to others. Also has a lovely little pool!

We (7 of us) stopped at this hotel for an evening meal as the location on the river was idyllic. The food was mediocre and poor value and the waitress (Margot) was sullen, rude and just wanted rid of us as soon as possible so that she could join her friends smoking and listening to rap music though their car... Everything about this hotel has been done as cheaply as possible. Our room was decorated in contemporary but minimalist style. For example there was one bedside table in a double room. The room was a good size with a view to the river. Continuing the minimalist theme, the bathroom had the smallest, thinnest towels I have ever seen in a... More

Positives are there was a good folder of information about the hotel in the room and the offer to be able to buy water downstairs in the bar. But this hotel is tired. The last renovation was not done well and the paintwork is starting to look patchy. Our terrace room was not quite what it seemed. The skylight cover... More
