Spent two nights in September (wish we stayed longer).....what a magical visit. Lovely B&B and gracious hosts. The breakfasts were the best -- hearty & homemade with love! The area of Beynac is well worth a visit if passing through this area. Nestled in a wooded forest overlooking a tranquil valley, we were treated to both an overnight thunderstorm and... More

Our 2 nights at this beautiful property were simply great. Jean Claude and his wife made us feel very welcome and provided good tips on near by attractions as well as contact with the local doctor to help with my sinus infection problem. The entry to the road when approaching from the east is tricky but manageable with careful handling.... More

Spent two nights here and I echo ALL the other positive reviews. Beautiful home, hard to find (my old gps would not accept co-ordinates) but Jean Claude came to lead us from a nearby restaurant, in a lovely setting with great breakfasts. Francis even made omelets one morning.Only bones to pick; small room, tacky laminate wannabee hardwood floors, poor sound... More

Stayed 3 nights at this gem of a B&B. Located in the scenic town of Beynac-et-Cazenac. Enter in the GPS coordinates for easy directions to the B&B, or follow the signs for "Residence Versailles" once in town. Keep in mind it's difficult to get around the area without a rental car. B&B is located in an idyllic, quiet neighborhood with... More

Finding this B&B was very difficult as the address is not specific enough for our GPS to locate. If you follow the directions in the Rick Steves guide exactly, you will find it. Note that the sign at the driveway is "Residence Versailles". Once we arrived, we were smitten with everything about this place. The setting overlooking a valley is... More

My husband and I stayed 6 nights at Le Petit Versailles in September as we were in the area for a wedding. I cannot recommend this B&B highly enough. The house and garden itself is stunning and immaculate, the setting is breathtaking and then there is the breakfast each morning which alone is worth staying for - home made confiture,... More

We stayed here for two nights and were very happy with our room, breakfast and the warm welcome from the charming hosts. Breakfast included freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit, homemade jam and cake. Beynac centre is within easy walking distance, about 10-15 minutes. The garden is lovely and the situation tranquil.

The breakfast was amazing. Homemade cakes and jams, freshly squeezed orange juice. Jean-Claude and Françoise were very personable. Francoise was horrified when I told her how we waited over an hour for our food at the La Petite Tonnelle restaurant. She called them immediately and blessed them out. Dinner at La Belle Etoile restaurant in La Roque Gageac was a... More

We spent 3 nights at Le Petit Versailles in early June and it was wonderful. We had the room with the black and white checkered floor with a small terrace in front. It is simply yet characteristically furnished and we liked it a lot. The hosts are very nice people and we all somehow managed to communicate. Jean-Claude's English works... More

Le Petit Versailles was our home for five wonderful days in the Dordogne. Jean-Claude greeted us on arrival, helped with our luggage, and offered laundry service as we had been traveling for some days. Highly recommend our room with the black & white check floor which was spacious and spotless. The french doors opened to a second floor terrace overlooking... More
