Room was small but nicely decorated and very clean. Air con did not work though so we had to have the window opened which means you could hear all the street noise. Walls are thin too you can hear people in other rooms talking, sneezing, and flushing their toilets. Overall it is a nice enough hotel and the breakfast was... More

Tiny room with comfortable bed and good location. We were here for 5 nights in October. There is barely enough room to turn around, let alone store suitcases. A very small table that was covered with hotel information left no room to put items of our own. One straight chair, so sitting on the bed was our only option. Tiny... More

The Pontet is a small hotel that has been updated. The rooms were very clean and recently redecorated. My shower was so small that when I moved, I always hit the temperature control, making for an interesting shower.

The hotel is centrally located in the beautiful village of Beynac on the Dordogne river. The hotel has only two free carpark spots (we were lucky enough to claim one on both days we stayed) otherwise you have to pay for parking. Our standard room was very small with little wardrobe space and only just enough room to move around... More

We had a very nice 2 night stay in this boutique hotel while touring France on a motorbike. We stayed in room 11 on top floor overlooking nice cobbled street. Room was small but very adequate with a comfy bed. I'd describe its decor as shabby chic and that's how I imagine French hotels. We could park our motorbike right... More

This hotel is in a very old, attractive building. However we felt it was poor value for money. Our bedroom was at the front - right on the road which was partially cobbled. Relentless car traffic during the day makes this a noisy road despite the fact that Beynac is really a very small place although touristy. The room was very... More

Very central. Friendly staff: we asked for our cycling kit to be spun after washing it. This was dealt with immediately. Nice, clean room and delicious breakfast. We were booked here through chain gang cycle tours. Nice that this hotel could store our bikes down by the river near their hotel! Pleasant place to stay.

Sometimes a hotel desreves many more stars than it displays, and the Hotel Pontet is one of those places! A charming little boutique-style hotel in a stunning part of the Dordogne region. Very friendly staff, very clean rooms, and all-in-all a most positive experience. Of course it is helped by being situated in one of the quaintest, most picturesque villages... More

We stayed for 2 nights as part of out holiday in France. We were very well looked after by the staff and found the whole stay very good. The price is very competitive and the breakfast was very good. The food in the restaurant was excellent as was the service.

We stayed 2 nights at the Pontet in March and we really enjoyed it. The room and the bathroom were good sized, comfy beds, everything very clean. The wifi signal wasn't very good unless you were at the lobby. Location wise this hotel is perfect as a home base in the region, you can day trip to several of the... More
