Stayed five nights 1/9/13-5/9/13.All meals well presented, especialy sweets. The final meal was Choucroute Alsacienne-a huge plater of hot mixed meats and potatoes piled high around a heap of choucroute (a type of pickled cabbage) which four of us could not finish.Breakfast were buffet type consisting of cerials, breads, cold meats, cheese and hard boiled eggs (or soft boiled to order). Friendly staff, comfortable duplex suites with stunning views of the Rhein valley from this high-meadow village in the Voges. Start your day with marvelous 2-hour walks through the woods to Bergheim, Ribeauville, & St Hypolite - to Michelin bib-gourmand and one-star restaurants, with castles along the way. The call for a Taxi to take you back up the mountain to... More

What a great find we made while exploring the Alsace Wine Route. Just off the beaten track hidden in the mountains is the little village of Thannenkirch. The staff were friendly and very helpful, we were shown a collection of rooms to choose from. They were spacious, had an enclosed balcony and had great views. We took the half board... More

Like the previous reviewer we didn't stay in the hotel but I felt that I had to post a review saying how good the dinners were. So good we went back for a second time. Modern cooking but not too fancy, and friendly and efficient service. We really didn't expect such a high standard. If you are staying at the... More

While staying at the Haut-Koenigsbourg (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g1079317-d2278473-Reviews-Hotel_Haut_Koenigsbourg-Thannenkirch_Haut_Rhin_Alsace.html) we went to eat to La Meuniere, great kids menus and adult food too. Don't be fooled by the high french restaurant atmosphere, service is great and down to earth, but still good for an especial occasion. Great view from the terrace.

Very nice hotel with great views, big terrace and good food (nice wine list). Very friendly people, very good service. Almost exclusively English spoken guests this night, most of the staff are bilingual. Got a big room (two beds) for a low price, but when it rained during the night it also rained in the room and the drip-dripping kept... More

We plan on returning to Alsace, perhaps this year, and will undoubtedly stay at the Auberge la Meuniere again. Our room was spacious and the view of the hills was very pleasant. While the bathroom was large and had a very large bathtub, curiously, the ceiling was open to the room and in particular the stairs to the loft. This... More

First stop on driving tour through Alsace. Tiny village in the hills. Not much to do there but perfect place for excursions. Hotel seemed recently renovated/extended. Very friendly reception, though only in French. Room nice and cosy, in old part of house. Beatifull views. We opted to upgrade to half board for only 14 euros pp for a 3 course... More
