We were only at this hotel for one night and when we arrived, our room was upgraded to the main hotel from the budget swiss chalet across the street from the main hotel. The staff were friendly, the upgraded room was so fun. We actually slept in a barrel bed. The grounds are beautiful. The hotel is right on the... More

This chalet hotel is owned by an extraordinary family, a young couple and their young children, and every aspect of my experience there was one of quality and grace. The rooms are modern and impeccably clean. The haute cuisine served for dinner and the included breakfast was European at it's best and a delight for me during my first trip... More

We booked at the Swiss Chalet but on arrival found that we had been upgraded to the Schloss Hotel. Good news after a long tedious drive from France. The rooms were well appointed in a typically antique Swiss way. Dining was at the Swiss Chalet where you had a choice of French cuisine or Swiss dishes. The food did not... More

I have stayed in this hotel for 6 days, and this hotel is located at Merlischachen which is 15 minutes by train from Lucern bahnhof (main station)...this is the only hotel at merlischachen, hence locating the hotel is not a tedious task at all..however when you arrive for the time, try to be a bit early as you wont find... Perfect location to relax and breathtaking view! The hotel is really clean and the rooms are spacious. A nice combination of luxury and rustic. There is also a beautiful park within the hotel premises directly at the lake where you can spend hours of relaxation.. There is not much else to do at the village.but the restaurants are really good... More

I traveled with my son and brother to Milan on a mad dash 4 day trip to pick up a musical instrument...we stayed in the Swiss Chalet part of this outfit for both nights. It was cheap (we paid 47 pounds per night room only and without breakfast through booking.com) but perfectly adequate. If you want to go up market... More

Dear Keeners Thank you for your assessment. Our Swiss-Chalet is an historic building, built in the 17th century. In this time people were smaller than today, this is why the rooms are not too high. Anyways, it’s good to hear that you liked your stay. We are looking forward to welcoming you in our hotel soon. Best regards from a... More

Went here for a weekend visiting the area. Swiss-Chalet was one of the few hotels in the area with managable prices, and we booked a room with shared bathroom. We wanted to visit Lucerne which is some distance from Merlischachen, but since we had a car this was no problem. We did not however stay in this room, because we... More

I have stayed here twice in the last 3 years and on both occasions have found it excellent. I was in the cheaper Shloss chalet, not the main hotel on the lakefront. For the area, the value is great. Think it was approx. 120 EUR for a double room and 80 for a double with shared bathroom. You also have... More

Why, the view, of course! Behind the hotel there's a view of the Alps, Mt. Rigi, Mt. Pilatus. Even better when the sky is clear.
