We stayed in the 4star Hotel side, looks like a castle inside with painting of princes and armor, swords on the walls. The room was spacious with a balcony overlooking Lake Luzern. Very nice place, the staff we friendly. The hotel is not in the city center about a 10 min drive to the main center of Luzern, this is... more

We stayed at the Chalet over the bank holiday weekend in August, and having read all the good reviews on this site I was extremely disappointed with my own experience. We got a downstairs room in the Chalet, which was an OK size, and seemed quite nice when we just checked in. However, later it turned out that the wooden... more

Stayed at the hotel on our way to Italy in August 2008. We knew we were staying in the smaller Swiss Chalet accommodation before we arrived, so we were expecting the rooms to be smaller than we're used to etc, given that the building is old. Well, as it was the cheapest thing I could find in the area, I... more

nice, cottage-style rooms with classic and old furniture which sets the mood of the interior. good value for money wif ample breakfast spread and warm staffs that attend to yr every needs. downside is, than the washrooms and shower are at common corridor...other than dat, a gd experience! more

The Schloss-Hotel Swiss-Chalet is a "4 Star" hotel that actually is two hotels. First, the hotel is nowhere close to Luzern (Lucerne) - if you don't have a car, forget it - it's about 20 minutes outside of the city, two towns away. The Schloss Hotel is a nicer main hotel that is not on the lake as the reviews... more

The photos appeared a bit campy, but the actual property was amazing. The hotel consists of 5 different large chalets and mansions, all within walking distance. Several sit on a beautiful lake overlooking the Swiss Alps. Because of a wedding on the premises, we were upgraded to the Chateau Golden-Gate Jagdschloss, a hunting lodge-style decorated mansion that sits on a... more

We arrived in pouring rain to find that we were in the chalet building across the road and up two flights of very steep stairs. Room was adequate (although the "double bed" was just two single beds pushed together), and shower room small, but the shower was good Not enough plug sockets meant that we could have the bedside light... more

We stayed at the hotel for one night in august. The rooms are very nice and clean. Modern bathrooms, friendly and helpful staff. The pool is tiny but enjoyable for relaxation. Gorgeous view over the lake from the garden. The restaurant is across the street at the chalet. The food is good but not great. Will definitely stay over again. more

It felt a bit like walking into a Grimm Fairytale when we arrived at the Schloss Hotel Swiss Chalet, such is its "tweeness". We stayed in the "Chalet" part of the hotel and to say it's a bit over the the top in it's exterior appearance would be a gross understatement. Think cake decoration! Food in the restaurant was good... more
