We enjoyed our stay very much - we really felt like sleeping in a castle. The location is just great with the lake so close and train "station" was reachable in just a couple of minutes. The staff was very helpful and we enjoyed the breakfast. I sure would stay here again, as it was great value!

As others have stated, there are a variety of buildings here. We stayed in the old rustic one above the restaurant. The rooms had bright red checked bedding, and plants right out the windows. The shape the room was odd, with sloped low ceilings, but that just added to the charm. The food was incredible. Expensive, but extremely well done,... More

A group of us stayed a night at this gorgeous hotel. We were all completely blown away. The amazing staff served us a fantastic 5-course meal - best food we tried in Switzerland so far. the location is gorgeous, right at the lakefront. Rooms were cosy. Spa and pool area were small and in another building but non the less... More

The surrounding location is lovely and the position of the hotel offers the possibility to travel around the lake and reaching Lucern (10mins by car), and taking a walk around the beautiful villages (Küssnacht and Merlinschachen). The hotel has an amazing old style atmosphere and the rooms are very suggestive. Swimming pool and sauna are clean and cozy, as the... More

The hotel is located in a beautiful village called Merlischachen along the lake side. The view from the hotel is beautiful at day and night as well. There are trains to Lucern every hour and transportation is not a problem at all. The hotel room is extremely cozy and the facilities are very good. Buffet breakfast is pretty decent. There... More

Had a fabulous time at this hotel, and a wonderful room. From other reviews, I see that due to the multiple buildings, the room you may get may not be quite as nice as the one we ended up in for 4 nights, but the entire property looks well kept! Hotel staff were very courteous and helpful, and the breakfast... More

Wow. We loved this hotel. The hotel is actually made up of 5 buildings - when you arrive just go into one and they'll tell you where you need to be. The hotel is a 17th Century Swiss Chalet and is decorated as such. The ceilings are low and the stairs steep (in our 20's this was no problem, but... More

We have taken a night in the deluxe suite, the jaguar suite. it is an old jaguar car with a small bed inside. don’t forget, it is a real car so it is very tight. but worth the experience. the room was big, as the car used a lot of space it was in the middle. there was a nice... More

The pictures looked teriffic... so we chose to book this hotel for one night. However, we arrived on a rainy evening, already in the dark and pretty tired. Being send from one building to another (the property has actually four of them) does not feel very welcoming. We ended up spending the night in a huge two double bedrooms apartment... More

An odd hotel. It reminds me of something Disney would have created in EPCOT but here, not done so well. Dark bedroom straight out of an old movie with strange portraits on the walls, and armour and weapons on display in the public spaces. The bathroom was fine. Bit of a novelty/tourist hotel. OK for one night, but some distance... More
