As This hotel is a real old hotel with lots of history. This has two sides. It really has some feel you really are in the Alps at a genuine hotel. But you can also rate it as it is full of old stuff. It is a 15 min bus ride (€ 8,- day ticket ) to the city centre... More

If you want serenity & a nice view, do NOT stay here. Major construction on 3 sides of the property. We are talking cranes & bulldozers! No mention of this beforehand. We cancelled and the guy still charged me for 1st night, $113. I want to warn others not to get taken like I did. We were in Switzerland for... More

We stayed for just one night here on route to Italy. Our room was large with a huge comfortable bed, excellent free wifi and fully equipped ensuite bathroom. This is very different from the hotels we usually stay in but we enjoyed it so much more. The entire property is so beautiful, full of fine old furniture and artefacts. We... More

We really wanted to like this place. It has so much potential. The building is over 300 years old and has been in the current owners family for 6 generations. The owners and staff we met were very friendly and pleasant. Plus we liked their Swiss Mountain Dog, Suzi, which walked around the common areas. However, the rooms and overall... More

Pros -friendly staff -bus stop right next to the Guest House -train station less than 5 minutes walk Cons -breakfast was poor- no choice, limited quantity, buffet would have been better. -very noisy. There was construction work just next door and very noisy traffic- could not sleep the 3 nights we were there. No sound proofing - no temperature control.... More

This inn is filled with so much character you can't help but to love it. The owner and operator is so kind and accommodating. We arrived a few hours early and thought we would just be able to drop off our very large backpacks, but they ended up letting us check in and go to our room, which after about... More

We were a bit puzzled at first because the door was closed and nobody seemed to be there. After ringing the bell the owner opened the door and invited us in for a beer ''on the house''. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed that night but the owner gave us some useful tips where to go to for dinner. Nice spacious... More

We stayed here one night and although a bit out of town, a bus runs right in front and they provide free parking at the hotel. The rooms are older, but well kept and large. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was substantial. Very good choice in Lucerne as hotels tend to be very expensive... More

This place is worth and above the money. Located in Meggen, Lucerne this accommodation is the best we got in our entire trip. A guesthouse with very good, clean, spacious rooms. The room had a breath taking view of Mt. Pilatus and Mt. Rigi. Very close to the train station and bus stop. The hospitality is just amazing provided by the... More

This large, old Gasthaus is just across the street from Lake Lucerne, and 3 miles from the old city. Though our room was on the top floor, the queen bed was great by European standards, and our two kids, girl-5, boy-12, had their own beds in a corner room that would have had a view of everything, had the weather...
