Travelled to Peralta on business and was advised to stay at the Hotel Villa Marcilla. The ambience in the public areas was very relaxed and the welcome very pleasant. The restored mansion with nice grounds and the best restaurant in town could be a great hotel. However, it seems they spent all the energy, talent and euros in the grandiose lobby and stairs. Stayed for 3 days. Hotel is just off the dual carriageway and stands on its own-there's nothing around. There's no other decent place to stay in marcilla or surrounding villages thus I guess the price. The rooms were spacious and clean the bed comfy and the everything worked. A very convenient location for those touring Spain. Very impressive interior with friendly staff and good food, although initial impressions of the restaurant area were not totally appealing. However, the staff really put themselves out and attended to every detail.

If your travelling near the Pyrennes and you want a good hotel, try the Villa Marcilla. Marcilla itself is not a pretty town, As for the Hotel, don't let the outside of the building put you off as inside they have mixed the modern with the old, and it works. It really is consistent. We stayed here a year ago en route from France to the Costa Blanca and will look for an excuse to return! Very friendly staff, comfortable rooms and excellent dining at a very reasonable price including wines. Easy to find from the autopista. Competitively priced accommodation against comparable Paradors.
