Small friendly hotel close to WW2 sites such as Pegasus Bridge. Our party of 6 stayed two nights, Rooms fresh but do not miss the Restaurant. First class, do not miss the Lobster meals! Good car parks and friendly local staff who work ha,rd to keep all happy. Would certainly return.

I stayed here for an evening whilst in France on business. The rooms are just across the road from the restaurant. As it is a sleepy village there is no noise to disturb you during your stay. The main draw to La Glycine is the restaurant. So if you stay do not miss out on the opportunity to fine dine... More

We spent one night at La Glycine on our way to Brittany and would definitely stay there again. The staff were welcoming, and there was ample parking. The hotel is pretty from the outside and although only a couple of miles from the ferry port, in a quiet location. We were a family of four and booked a quadruple room... More

Four of us stayed at La Glycine during the last week in August while attending the World Equestrian Games in Caen. Echoing a previous reviewer, the rooms were clean and spacious and beds very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant most evenings during our stay and the food and service were just great: there was a wide choice of menus... More

I stayed at La Glycine last week with four friends while we attended the World Equestrian Games in Caen The rooms were great, all very clean, just perfect. The hotel staff were so kind and tolerant of our lack of any ability to speak French. We had a great time. Highly highly recommend.

We wanted a good hotel close to the ferry port at Ouistreham on our last night in France, and in picking the La Glycine, we picked a real winner. The hotel has well over twenty rooms, some in an annexe just across the road. They have two car parks, and the hotel as a lively little sitting area at the... More

Liked this hotel. Set in a very quiet little village. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were helpful and the price wasn't too bad. It's only a10 min walk from Pegasus Bridge. Parking was good.

This is a little gem of a hotel close to the Pegasus bridge and a million miles from the accommodation in the Ouistreham chain hotels. The food is fabulous, and the clientele almost exclusively French. No English cars there on 13th July. Oysters and lobsters feature on the menus, as do a range of fishy dishes. The 'protein plate' of... More

I am sure I must rank as one of the Glycine’s most long-standing and committed guests, having stayed there 6 or 7 times since 1995 to visit the many battle sites and museums in the area. Despite this undoubted illustrious position, whenever I make an enquiry, or even when I check-in, I am met with the same cool indifference I... More
