We stayed for a couple of nights as part of a cycle tour. We were in the rooms across the road, very comfortable, but wifi non existent. Plenty of hot water and big showers. We ate upstairs in their function room a couple of times. Food good, service a little slow, but we were a big group. Nice outdoor seating... More

This picturesque Hotel- Restaurant could have been plucked from the Cotswolds, England and gently placed in the truly delightful village of Benouville, which is conveniently situated about 4k's from the Ouistreham ferry port to Portsmouth and within a very short drive from the famous Pegasus Bridge Memorial site. Benouville exemplifies a very well maintained and cared for village. You immediately... More

We did not stay here, so can only comment on the lunch we ate, which was absolutely delicious. We chose the 49 euro menu and it was worth every penny from the sublime lobster to the lemon and strawberry tart at the end, with lots in between. The service was also very good, and though not very busy there was... More

Perfect Hotel to base yourself to tour Normandy. Lovely rooms attentive staff, breakfast light but just what you need. The Restaurant food is exceptional though wine a little pricey but of great quality. Our WW2 Jeep was safely parked in their enclosed parking areas. A short walk down to Pegasus Bridge with the super Museum and their are pleasant walks... More

Modern and stylish in both public rooms and bedrooms. Rooms are spacious and have good bathrooms. Dinner in the restaurant was memorable with very good service and food. We particularly liked the crab and other fish starter, duck pate and veal in wild mushroom sauce. The cheeses were good and puddings of apple tart and crème brulee. The wine list... More

Good location, relatively quiet, though the street lights outside were a bit bright (luckily turned off at about 11), with demi-pension, one of our favorite ways of staying in French hotels. It does the job, but just a little lacking in the undefinable extra touches that make eating and staying more welcoming. We've stayed in other hotels at the same... More

We use the La Glycine as an overnight "stop off" when going to and from the Ferry Port. So we are "one nighters" for our needs this Hotel is great. We find the staff helpful and efficient and we have never had a problem booking in (we do book in advance). The rooms at the Hotel annex are Motel style,... More

We spent just one night here before an early morning ferry, but we will be back! Ideal for visiting the Normandy beaches, and Pegasus bridge only a few hundred yards away. The room we used was spacious, tastefully decorated and well equipped. Very comfortable and calm. Unusually for a hotel in this class in France there ARE welcome tea and... More

We had such a nice experience at the hotel as well as the restaurant. The staff was very tolerant of our inability to speak French. The food was exquisite and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The town itself was so quaint and welcoming. We would recommend this venue to anyone interested in seeing the gorgeous Normandy area.

We chose this restaurant at random en route to the night ferry to Portsmouth from Caen. The food and service were outstanding, and it is highly recommended as excellent value for money at a very convenient site.
