We wanted to be close to the tourist areas but for the first couple of days some isolation and quiet was needed. I stayed here in April 2006, and I'd like to endorse wbbracknell's comments below. The hotel is up in the mountains in the village of Benimaurell, well away from the tourist crowds. The views are spectacular, the rooms spacious and spotless and the food superb. Do try to get one of the junior suites, which are decent sized villas in... more

Book a junior suite, this will give you a bedroom, bathroom with views, sitting room and balcony. The junior suites are built in a separate building to the main hotel and sit on the edge of the mountain looking out over 20 miles of 'vista'.
