We have visited Monfrague several times before and each time said that the next time we would stay at the Hospederia! This time we did. A very modern styled hotel, lots of concrete and quirky features. We loved it. However, the building appeared to have problems as workmen and scaffolding were everywhere. Also water was entering through the window frames... More

This was my second visit in two years and there has definitely been a decline in standards over this period. There appear to be major building works going on in the hotel grounds although there were no personnel around to man the cranes and the diggers. The views from the picture windows are spoilt by unkempt garden areas, an empty... More

Running an hotel in this remote place clearly has its problems and this one seems to be a work in progress with various areas around the building still being built. The reception was fine, the rooms are modern and clean but the walls are made of cardboard which makes them very noisy. The only staff member who spoke any English... More

We stayed here for 3 nights during Holy Week, and were very pleased with the service provided (according to us - we´ve already stayed in 6 of the 7 Hospederías de Extremadura - not the best hotel, but the treatment by the personnel largely compensates for the lack of an historical building, and the food served is good as well).... There are limited places to stay around this area so you may to end up here but for me the hotel is a metaphor for the Spanish middles class in that its seen better days and is dying a slow death. Its in need of some serious renovations, the rooms have zero sound proofing, and the shower was terrible. It... More

Clean rooms with smart distribution (duplex) for families with kids. Beautiful surroundings inviting for walks and horseriding. Serviceable staff made the difference. Food was good and all inclusive. Enabling us to focus on the walks and relaxation.

We got a bit of a boyscout feeling in this hotel. Room is not very large, nice views, no chairs on balcony, creaking wooding floor, in need of some maintenance. Unfortunately the rooms are very noisy, you hear every sound of your neighbours. Great location in this awesome park. Very pleasant and professional service by the receptions staff, restaurant staff... More

We went with a group of families, we have included dinner and breakfast, we liked both of them. The family room is big and comfortable. It has one living room with sofa bed and a main room with a big bed, TV in each room, a big bathroom with a lot of amenities. They have a "pillow menu", where you... More

This hotel is perfectly situated. Beautiful views. Rooms OK, but don't book superior rooms, they are all located in front of the main road. Very agreable swimming pool and garden. Restaurant is correct for one meal, but avoid the buffet and prefer "à la carte".

The hotel is located on the outskirts of a small village in the middle of the national park, the room was nice with a big stone wall facing the bed. The bathroom was in need of updating though, the views from the room where lovely and the bed was comfy. A good nights sleep was had. The food in the... More
