La Grava is actually in the small town of El Morell, some 19 kilometres outside Tarragona so it's best if you have a car. Nonetheless, we managed without one and took the bus into Tarragona and Reus by dint of careful planning and a little wait at the bus stops. The hotel is great with exceptionally welcoming and helpful staff,... More

never mind the oilfields...but attend to the low keyed paradise you will find once you enter the doors of La Grava hotel and restaurant. Rooms, although tight, were extraordinarily kept and breakfast....was one amazing plate after another..... service was attentive without being intrusive.

I run into this restaurant as I was looking for hotels where my better half and I could spend a week vacationing in the place we like the most, Spain, and more precisely the Tarragona area. I have traveled the world and she is in the cooking/pastry business. Bottom line we love life and good food and we live in... More

Stayed here for 2 nights, very nice and cute hotel, but not close to Tarragona. Breakfast is fantastic, rooms very clean and excellent. I would definitely recommend a GPS to find the hotel, parking around the back of hotel.

room- lovely, big, comfortable bed and a decent price. Whirlpool fn in our bath didn't work, but was still a big relaxing tub. breakfast- delicious, about 5 courses brought to the table with very attentive staff who made a nice takeaway breakfast pack on the morning we left. Location- need a car unless your planning to laze about the hotel.... More

A real gem. Wonderful food. Comfortable rooms and very helpful, welcoming staff. We had an morning flight from Reus Airport (10 mins away), but providing an early breakfast was no problem. The food, as others have noted, is excellent. We had the 'Centenary Menu' lunch, lovely, tasty food and great attention to detail - and at a reasonable price. Very... More

I picked this hotel based on trip advisor reviews and was not dissapointed. As others have commented, finding the hotel is interesting as you pass a large industrial complex and then get lost in a maze of streets in El Morell. So don't expect an amazing location. The staff were all very welcoming and the rooms were great - spacious... More

We stayed in the hotel la grava for two nights and definitely enjoyed our stay. PROS: 1. Fantastic food! All of the food was very good but MUST haves include the hazelnut pudding ( creamy chocolate middle) and the hotel's own marmalade. 2. Warm, friendly room. The room was lovely and well presented. Quiet, and the room itself was quite... More

I really mean it! The hotel is a delight. Warm welcome, helpful staff, clean and well-presented rooms. The wifi is first class. There is a small, but very pretty pool, pleasantly shaded and alfresco eating possibilities. There is secure on-site parking. The breakfast was of excellent quality, albeit served too late by beginning at 09.00 hrs. The village of El... More
